really enjoyed both your Barca x teen reader fics, would love another part if you can, particularly with more lucy!
Christmas Guest
A/N: I’ve been wanting to make a Christmas fic, so I thought this would be perfect
Barcelona Femeni x Teen Reader(Mostly a Lucy x teen reader), but some motherly Alexia
Word Count: 1,194
Growing up, Christmas always ended terribly. Always one of your family members getting into a fight with each other to the point where police may have had to be called or your parents yelling at you or each other.
"What do you want for Christmas?" Pina asked, and you looked at her, confused. It's something you were never asked about by anyone. "Nothing," you simply said and went back to changing. Claudia groaned.
"You never want anything; you told me the same thing for your birthday. Come on, anything? A video game? I'll even get you a car," Claudia said, frustrated.
"I don't even have a driver's license," you mumbled to her as you gave her a little smile and walked away to the field. She groaned, and went to rant to Alexia.
—————
"What are you doing for Christmas?" Lucy questioned you, "Nothing, just sleeping all day." She looked at you, confused. "Are you sure you don't want to go back home with me?"
She knew you had a complicated relationship with your parents, and her family loved you, so you were invited to everything. You've already been invited to four different people's family gatherings.
Ingrid's and Mapi's; they were going to Norway. Fridolina's in Sweden; Keira's, but she was leaving like right when the last game was over; and Alexia's. Alexia said if you didn't decide, then she would drag you to her family.
"I don't want to be a bother." Lucy shook her head. "Kid, my mom has a stocking hung up for you; she's been asking me every day if you're coming. Trust me, you're her favorite child." You smiled a bit at that. "Are you sure?" She nodded, "Okay then," Lucy cheered and jumped up. "We leave in two days," she ran off to brag to everyone you were going with her back to England.
You smiled a bit and focused back on your last practice of the year.
————-
Right when you got home, Alexia sent you to the dining table. "Alexia, it's Christmas break; I have no homework," you told her as she set down a paper and pen in front of you.
"Nope, you're making a wishlist. I want you to put at least 30 things." "Why 30?" "The whole team needs ideas."
"I don't know what I want," you muttered. "Well, you better think about it. Don't you dare move from that table until you have at least 25 things."
After the 10th thing, Alexia sat next to you and read what you currently had on your list. She did disapprove of some stuff, like all the nerf guns, since you would probably end up shooting someone in the eye.
"So Lucy?" Alexia asked you, "Yeah." Alexia looked a bit happy and a bit worried. Ever since you joined Barca, you've never left Alexia's sight. She even dragged you to her photo shoots.
"Okay, let's start getting you packed then, and please behave; you get more wild around Lucy.”
"I always behave," she gave you a look. "That's not what Leah tells me," you smirked. You still remember the yelling Leah gave you and Lucy when you guys snuck out after curfew to go to a nearby park.
You guys found it funny until the next day, when you had to do extra laps while everyone laughed at you and watched.
—————
Saturday, 5 a.m.
You groaned as Alexia put a beanie over your head and went through your suitcase again to make sure you had everything. "Your toothbrush?" "My backpack." "Charger?" "Backpack" "phone?" "Pocket," "do you have your headphones? You know you need those on the plane or you get really nervous." "In my backpack."
After more questions, you finally spoke up. "Alexia, we did this last night." "I'm just making sure you have everything," she defended.
"You're such an overbearing mom," Lucy laughed as she picked up your bag to put it in the trunk. Alexia was driving you guys to the airport.
The whole car ride was Alexia telling Lucy what you needed and your usual routine.
Lucy wasn't even listening; she kept reaching over to pinch and give you slaps on the thighs since you were kicking her seat.
The bye was odd; Alexia had some tears in her eyes, and you and Lucy awkwardly glanced at each other. "Lex, I'm only leaving for a week and a half," you told her.
"Nah kid, those are tears of joy," Lucy joked as Alexia gave you a tight hug.
Then she turned to Lucy, "you better bring her back in one piece of Lucia." Lucy smirked as she started dragging you into the airport. "I'm not promising anything."
—————
"Come on kid, mom is over here." Lucy's mom was waiting outside of her car, smiling softly. You were a bit scared; you knew Lucy's mom already; you guys had met after the Euros. You had also met her brother, niece, and nephew during the World Cup.
As you approached, she was quick to pull the two of you into a huge hug. "Y/N, how have you been?" She rubbed your back and pinched your cheeks.
"I've been good; how have you been?" "I've been amazing, missing my children and grandchildren as always, but I'm just happy we'll all be together again." Lucy smiled as she put the luggage into the car.
"Look, I got you two matching sweaters for Christmas Eve," she said as she held up the sweaters. You took it happily, muttering a 'thank you' and showing it to Lucy, who was smiling at your reaction.
After meeting her dad, Lucy could tell you were their new favorite child. You would sit with her dad and talk about sports, and her mom would teach you how to cook.
Lucy took you around her home and showed you all the places she loved as a kid. You two had also gone last-minute Christmas shopping for everyone.
You guys even spent all day eating ice cream and decorating cookies, something Alexia probably wouldn’t like since she didn’t like when you ate a lot of sugar. Lucy didn’t care, though; she happily dealt with your sugar rush.
—————
Christmas Day was eventful. You were woken up by her nephew jumping on you.
"Ow," you mumbled and groaned as you heard Lucy's laugh. "Come on kid, don't be a grinch," you sighed as you sat up.
You could hear the kids giggling and shrieking downstairs, and Jorge running around, probably chasing them.
"Carry me," you grinned at her. She rolled her eyes but listened, giving you a piggyback ride to the chaos.
Christmas went perfectly. Lucy's parents went all out with their 'youngest child', who was you, and their grandchildren.
When you got back home, all you could talk about was how great Christmas was. The team just listened and nodded along as they gave you their gifts.
————
"It looks like you're going to have a permanent traveling buddy every time you go back home, Bronze,” Mapi joked.
“Mom will disown me if I don't,” Lucy responded, as she watched you chase Pina around, shooting her with the huge nerf mini gun Patri got you.

Can you please do an anemic reader on who her lack of red blood cells are getting worse enough that she has to be hospitalized?! And we have to see soaps reaction?!
OHH He shits his pants
It's a routine blood draw, nothing you're not used to. Just a cell count to make sure everything's working properly and that your supplements don't need to have their dosage increased.
"So this here is the red blood cells.." The nurse drones as you sit in one of the consultancy rooms of the local hospital, chin resting in the crook of your palm. "They're low enough that we'll need to keep you in for a couple of days for an iron transfusion and monitoring before and after."
"I'm sorry?" You choke, snapped from your reverie as you look at the nurse and your results paper she currently points at.
"It's really nothing to worry about. We'll keep a good eye on you, you'll probably be in for three days, tops." "No but I have work." The woman across from you looks frustrated at your resistance as she raises an eyebrow your way. "I'd really strongly advise you not to go back to work like this. It'll only exacerbate your condition." "Right. Fine. Can I just make a call quick? Get my boyfriend to swing by with some essentials." "This isn't prison. You can call who you like when you like."
You tap your foot anxiously on the linoleum floor of the hallway as the phone rings persistently, waiting for Johnny to pick up.
"Bonnie! How'd it go?" John's Scottish brogue still manages to send flutters to your tummy, even after three years of dating and just having received bad news.
"They're keeping me in for a few days." The anxiety in your voice is obvious, and John can practically picture you worrying at your bottom lip.
"Why? Wha' happened?" "Just a really low red blood cell count. They're going to monitor and do a transfusion on Wednesday. I was wondering if you could bring me some stuff? Toothbrush and pyjamas and whatnot?" "Course I'll bring ye a bag. Text me what ye need and I'll be there in a half hour." "Thank you Johnny." "You dinnae need to thank me. I love ye, bringin' a bag is nothing." "Well, thank you anyways."
Johnny must've sped with how quickly he gets to the hospital, conveniently sporting his tags on the outside of his khaki hoodie and a pair of military issue boots. If his charm isn't enough to wriggle the visiting hours around, his job most certainly is.
You give a little soft 'Hi' and he's already dropping a black duffel to his feet, scooping you up, trying to ease the tension from your back by rubbing soothing circles between your shoulder blades.
"Bought all yer things. Clean clothes, washbag, laptop, chargers." "You're an angel." "Am no, 'm just very worried for my woman."

Tumblr media
"are you sure it's not going to bother you?" you look at your shoes, sheating both weapons. after nanami's proposal to spend a week at his place, you tensed up, naturally.
"goodness gracious," his hand flew up to his temples, indicating irritation, "i gave you the option, of course it's not going to be a problem." turning his back to you, the blonde started walking away.
"of course if you do not want to, you don't have to," he said, mindful of how this could seem to others. "but i doubt that your classmates are all going back to dorms every single day."
"you think so?" you pondered for a while, coming to a conclusion of staying with your mentor. "okay, but i'll still have to get some spare clothes."
"go ahead and get them. i will text you my address, if anything happens, just let me know," you exchanged numbers before parting ways.
a few minutes later, your phone dinged with a notification of nanami's text consisting of his address and a question: "do you have any allergies? i'm going to make dinner." your face was redder than the sweetest strawberry reading that. wanting to keep cool, you texted back a simple "no allergies, but i don't like raw tomatoes. thank you so much:)"
thankfully you were left on read, you don't think you'd be able to handle a friendly conversation with your mentor. your very handsome mentor at that. your very handsome mentor who was preparing dinner for you two.
you couldn't hide the little smile that took shape on your lips, speeding up slightly. you wanted to be done with those obnoxious stairs to school and unwind after a long day.
as if nanami knew exactly what was going on, almost nobody was staying at the school dorms. quickly, you shuffled your feet towards the second to last door on the floor, unlocking and shutting the piece of old wood behind you.
you picked up your favourite backpack and started filling it up with clothes. checking the things off of your mental checklist: pjs, underwear, comfy clothes, spare uniform, your favourite plushie and more boring stuff like toothpaste and toothbrush.
you were practically sprinting out of your room, when your phone dinged again. this time, it was a notification from your class group chat. as if it was a sign from god himself, you realised you need your charger. you silently thanked yuuji for sending so many unnecessary selfies and finally closed the door. locking it twice, you briskly left the vicinity of your school and tried to find nanami's address on a map.
before you knew it, you descended the school stairs and went into the town without ever finding where his house is located, so you decided to focus on your surroundings for a bit to find out where you even are.
"to my left is a.." looking left, you saw an old bus station, which you tried to locate on the map. "a bus station.."
where the hell is it?!
"okay to my right is a theater, that should be easier to find," you hopelessly scrolled on your phone to find out where you are and where nanami's house is. "it should be easier to find, right?" you started to panic when you couldn't find anything around you on the map.
you were as lost as on your first day in tokyo, maybe even more. you knew you should text your mentor to let him know, but how could you? this is more embarrassing than not being able to exorcise a low-level grade curse.
realising that this is pointless, you gave in and started to look for nanami's number in your contacts.
but of course, as if he was telepathic, he called you before you could even dial his number.
"y/n? are you okay?" he said overly harsh, as if he was afraid something might have happened.
you sighed and eventually answered, "yes, sir. i'm.. i'm lost." you expected a scolding but it never came.
"lost? as in you already got your things but can't find the address? or you never went back to dorms?" nanami softened his tone, relieved that it's nothing serious.
"i can't find the address. i'm sorry," you apologised, guilty for being so troublesome.
"it's okay, just describe where you are, yeah?" he sounded entirely different now, like a concerned friend more than a mentor.
"um, well i can see an old bus station, it looks like it's not being used anymore, there's not a name of the station anywhere. there's also a theater on the opposite side," you paused for a second before finishing your thought, "it's like a crossroad if that makes sense? also i can't see anybody."
"y/n," nanami called out to you flatly, "don't go anywhere, alright?" you heard shuffling on the other side of the phone. "i think i know where you are so just wait there."
"can you not just tell me in which direction to go, sir?" you asked timidly, not wanting to be a burden.
"it's okay, the streets there are complicated to navigate through so this is easier. i'll be there in a minute." and with that, he ended the call and you were left in the empty streets, waiting.
a few minutes went by and you saw the first person to pass through here. as he made his way towards you and you could see him more clearly, you knew that without mistake, it was nanami.
you didn't know whether to be relieved or even more stressed, because he had to come for you like for a kindergartener. you slowly approached him and sheepishly smiled.
"i'm sorry sir, i'm still not used to tokyo," you excused yourself, as if it was good enough to make him come all the way here.
"don't worry about it, for now, let's go eat dinner. i'll tell you about this place later," he put a hand on your shoulder, reassuring you that it was not a big deal.
as you made your way through the streets, you suddenly understood nanami about the complicated layout of the town. if he was to just navigate you, it would do more harm than good.
it was really just a few minutes until you were at nanami's place. he unlocked the door to his apartment and led you to his bedroom.
"since i don't have a spare room, you can sleep here if you don't mind," he gestured towards his king-sized bed. your worried gaze fell upon him as he explained, "i will sleep on the couch, don't worry."
"no, i can't do that," you instantly protested, not wanting to compromise his comfort. "i'll sleep on the couch and you can sleep in your bed," you beamed at him, leaving for the living room.
"it's okay y/n, there's plenty of room on the couch for me to sleep on, if that's what you're worried about," he ignored your statement and stood infront of you. "i've fallen asleep there many times."
"but this is just rude of me, first i can't find your address and then i take your bed?" you sadden a bit, backing away from nanami.
"don't forget that i was the one who suggested this," he crosses his arms and looks down at your small form. "sleeping on the couch is my responsibility as well. at least for this week."
he was taking this very seriously, you wanted to argue once more. you looked up at him, ready to take the couch for yourself, but you stopped yourself. it's not as if his stern gaze alone put you in your place. no, he looked completely different when he wasn't working.
hair slightly falling into his face, forearms exposed (courtesy of his rolled up sleeves), the first two buttons of his shirt undone and glasses discarded. his eyes watched you as you observed him, waiting to see if you'll still protest or not.
after a while, you surrenderred and went to his bedroom. "whatever, but don't complain if your back hurts tomorrow. don't forget that i wanted you on the bed!"
"what?" nanami looks at you, confused.
"w-what?" you repeat after him, confused as well. with a sigh, he softly closes your door and leans against the wall.
"change into something more comfortable and come eat. i hope you're not going to run around in your uniform all day," the blonde then walks away to give you some sort of privacy.
you have to admit, you weren't the best with wording, at least he understood that. you hope. it's amazing how he can brush past that situation and go eat. at the same table with you nonetheless.
you were blushing like crazy just remembering the situation, but what makes matters worse was your choice of clothing. it was particularly hot during this time, so you decided to pack just some shorts that were laying around and a shirt that may be too small for you. that shirt was practically a crop-top now.
looking at your new outfit, you seriously thought that maybe being in your school uniform was better after all. you tried to shove all the inappropriate thoughts away as you awkwardly waddled towards the dining area, careful not to show any more skin than necessary.
nanami was still turned towards the counter, and you hoped he could stay like that while you ate and also went back to his bedroom.
"have you ever been to korea? or had korean food?" he suddenly asked, making you jump in your seat.
"no.." you simply answered before elaborating, "but i'd like to try it one day, why?"
"then i'm sorry you have to try it with me first. i made bibimbap for dinner," he explains, head half-tilted towards your direction. "it's not as authentic, but i like it," turning to you, he brings out a bunch of small bowls with vegetables, mushrooms and some sort of sauce, "and it doesn't contain any tomatoes."
"no it's okay! i'm sorry to be of any trouble regarding food," you apologise, smiling as he remembers you don't like tomatoes. "you didn't have to make something so big though."
"don't worry, if you weren't here, i would simply eat the rest tomorrow," he plainly stated, bringing two more huge bowls filled with food.
"wow, it smells great," you noted quietly.
"thank you," he smiled softly, explaining the dish, "it's basically a rice bowl with vegetables and meat on top. i didn't want to bother with the eggs so there aren't any, but usually you do them sunny side up. in the small bowls you serve kimchi and gochujang sauce, as well as more vegetables."
"that's amazing, it looks easy to make as well," you look at all the food on the table, "except cutting the vegetables." you laugh quietly, still mesmerised.
"it looks easy, but you have to manage a few things at once. i can give you the recipe if you want to try it out sometime," nanami suggests, making your eyes light up.
"really? i'd like that very much!" you smile at him, a gesture which he returns.
"of course. now let's eat before the rice gets cold," the man in front of you picks up his chopsticks and you mirror his action.
you both eat in silence, enjoying the foreign dish, before a thought pops into your mind. it's that crossroad, where there wasn't a soul to be seen. it seemed like nanami knew about it and you couldn't help but be curious about it.
swallowing your bite, you anxiously asked, "sir?" getting his attention, you continued. "can you tell me about the place where i got lost?"
nanami thickly swallowed before answering. "it's an abandoned part of town, mainly because people who go there disappear and don't come back," he raised an eyebrow at you, "i think you can imagine why that is."
"cursed spirits?" you meekly ask.
"an unseen amount, yes. the jujutsu sorcerers can't regulate them properly. it seems to be a huge area that attracts them," he explains, looking irritated.
"that's horrible, even more so that they can't find out why it's happening," you ponder about it for a while, but let it go eventually. still, it's going to be stuck in your head.
finishing your food, you stood up to help with the dishes before you were stopped.
"it's alright, y/n. i'll do the dishes, you should rest," nanami sounds out from behind you, collecting the small bowls.
"you should be the one resting, sir. i should do it, you're the one who made such an amazing meal after all," you try to protest again, however this time, nanami just doesn't have the strenght to put up with it.
"then you wash them and i will dry them and put them away, is that fine?" he sighed.
"okay then, but only because i don't know where to put them once i'm done!"
as you start to wash the dirty dishes, nanami stands right beside you. that's when it dawns upon you that you still only have your short tee and shorts on. embarrassed, you fixate your eyes onto the sink and try to forget about your poor choice of clothing.
your mentor of course noticed your outfit but tried to be professional about it. whenever you would finish up washing a dish and hand it over, nanami's fingers would brush over yours in the slightest. it was driving you crazy and you soon started to shiver, even though your hands were under the warm water and your ears were red hot.
"y/n?" the aforementioned man spoke up to you, "are you cold?"
oh, this was a nightmare. "no i'm okay!" you straightened up, trying to keep as still as possible but your body was not taking orders from you anymore.
"you're shivering, is the water cold?" he looked over to you as you nervously smiled. "why are you wearing shorts if you're cold? and such a short shirt," it felt almost as if he was scolding you.
"it's okay, sir, i'm not cold, it's just a shirt that was lying around, i was packing up so quickly i didn't realise," you tried to laugh it off but before you opened your eyes, the man disappeared. shortly after he came back with one of his own shirts and set it down on the other side of the counter.
"it's okay, you can have this one for the time being," he patted your back, took a small bowl and started drying it. not wanting this to be more embarrassing than it already was, you let out a small "thank you" before finishing up the dishes.
heading towards the bathroom to shower and change the godforsaken shirt, he called for you one more time.
"do you want to watch the tv before you go to sleep? i don't have one in my bedroom."
"if you wouldn't mind, then yes," you quickly showered and went back to the living room.
"just put on anything you'd like, i'm going to take a shower," you heard nanami's voice from around the corner before hearing the door close.
"thank you, sir!" you shouted back at him and went to find the remote, stealing nanami's blanket before he comes back.
turning on the tv and finding netflix, you had no idea what to watch. you felt like nothing was interesting and whatever was, you already saw six times. seeing a new crime tv show, you put it on only to be fast asleep after half an episode.
nanami took his time, letting you watch whatever you were watching, but before long he couldn't endure the scorching heat of the shower and came out. finally changing into his casual clothes, he heard gunshots and arguments on the tv. sighing, he made his way to the living room, only to find you sleeping on the couch, remote still in hand.
he pinched the bridge of his nose, not believing the situation. nevertheless, he slowly approached the couch and tried waking you up. to no avail.
"y/n, hey wake up," he shook with you slightly, whispering so you wouldn't be in too much of a shock once you wake up. "y/n!" he whisper-shouted at you a few times, which was obviously also not doing anything.
"i can't believe this kid," he whispered to himself, wrapping you in his blanket more. he then picked you up bridal style and slowly made his way to his bedroom, trying not to stumble.
finally setting you down on his bed, he was prepared to take the other blanket from the bed and leave, when a small hand tugged at his sleeve.
"y/n?" he whispered, not sure whether you were awake by now or not.
when you didn't respond, he decided you were sleeping, so he should go too. that's when your hand tugged at his sleeve again, and he noticed small tears rolling down your cheeks.
his heart skipped a beat at that, but he decided that this wasn't right, and ultimately swiped your tears with his thumb and left. without a blanket at that.
he couldn't believe you slept through all of that. maybe a new student was just what he needed in life.

Not enough people talked about these so I'm gonna do it myself because oh my god (commentary and headcanons below, it's just long)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sett has a little travel-sized sewing kit in his bag... it's so tidy... sett stitching things back together when his bandmates rip them...
Sett just casually carries around like 20+ pounds of dumbbells. Mans is literally always working out. The grind never stops.
"yo Ezreal can you grab my bag for me?" "Yeah sure--what the FUCK do you have in here? This thing weighs a hundred pounds."
His little exercise headband... and is that a hair tie behind it? Sett with his hair tied back??
Sett's energy bar collection. Sett's the type of person to pack an entire backpack full of snacks for a road trip.
Ezreal has a plushie OF HIMSELF on his bag.
this guy practically collects aesthetic glasses. 3 pairs in the bag plus the circle ones he had in PARANOIA.
Sharpie (for signing autographs???) His signature on the polaroids of himself???
The photo under the lip balm looks like it might be Ezreal and Aphelios. Ezreal's the type of person to make sure he has photos with all of his friends. Ezreal hanging up his favorite polaroids in his room.
can we talk about the all-white fit in the very bottom photo omg
Aphelios has back-up headphones for his headphones.
WHO SENT THE SNACKS. WAS IT ALUNE. WAS IT SOMEONE ELSE.
The writing on the note looks like Korean but unfortunately I don't know any Korean :(
his sticky noted book... is it a journal? is it full of lyrics? who put the little smiley face sticker on the front!! does he write in it!!
I love the idea of Aphelios just pulling out a little keyboard whenever he wants to write down a tune. How well can he play the piano? Only enough to write music, or does he have songs memorized? Does he ever play for anyone?
K'SANTE'S DRAWING TABLET
he's not just in charge of putting together their fashion, he designs it himself. i'm going to scream
I am in love with those glasses. I need art of k'sante in those glasses ASAP. i will do it myself if i have to.
What is his book!! What does the W stand for!!
The way the button on his gloves matches the one on his jacket in his LoL splash art. This tiny detail is driving me insane.
Also, the cologne? The top is the same as his necklace? Does he have a specific personal cologne? So elegant...
Kayn's Pentakill guitar pick. Let me see him play the guitar I beg
The crumpled up receipts. This man goes Shopping (also see: cash, various coins). And he just has a bunch of random shit in his bag because he never bothers cleaning it out.
the open leaking bottle of hair dye. please. do you NEED that
The random jewelry... I love the idea of him either a) taking it off, shoving it in his bag, and forgetting where he put it or b) bringing backup drip with him everywhere in case he needs more
While Sett, Aphelios, and Yone all opted for headphones, Kayn's gone with good old-fashioned corded earbuds. Does he not like headphones? Is it because they mess up his hair?
Big ass box of matches and For Why? Does he smoke? Is he too cool to carry around a lighter? Does he just like setting shit on fire?
Yone keeps a little emergency travel kit. Band mom energy. He's got band-aids and a toothbrush and toothpaste At The Ready.
Bottle of lotion? Yone with a skincare routine? Yone who stays moisturized? Everybody in Heartsteel asking Yone for lotion?
Earplugs (for sleeping on long bus rides, maybe?) I want to see Yone going "I'm sick of this shit" and tuning the fuck out.
Yone is the only one with a real headphone case. Aphelios has his around his neck 24/7, but his wireless earbuds have a case. Sett's just shoving his in there with twenty pounds of dumbbells and hoping for the best.
Yone's got so many little gadgets and I don't even know what they all are. He has his laptop and (probably) his phone, plus a smartwatch, and maybe a portable charger? He's that prepared.
I can't tell what the object beside his smartwatch is (looks wooden?) If anyone knows, let me know? I'm so curious
This man's got even more stuff inside his bag. Yone doesn't leave the house without like fifteen things in case of an emergency.
good news everyone. i'm still losing my mind over them

acceptance - muse a kisses muse b’s forehead and lingers for Clegan ? 🥺❤️
Hi! ♥️
Some fluff set in the Such Stuff universe for you 🥰✨
John looks at the list on his phone one more time: ID, phone charger, one of Buck's books, eight clean shirts, two pairs of short sweatpants, underwear, socks, a spare pair of jeans, a camera, a notebook, toothbrush and toothpaste, a comb, his trusted razor. For the body wash and shampoo, he'd debated whether to steal some of Buck's, but he'd like to still have a place to stay once he's back.
“All done?” The man in question asks him from where he's looming, leaning against the open door of their bedroom. He's feigning nonchalance but by now John's fully able to read him like an open book; the subtle crease of his brow and the glint of sadness in his eyes are enough to make him sigh as he zips his backpack closed. He still has less than half an hour before he has to go and pick up the others, and then they'll be off for a week touring with their new show, a shortened rendition of The Odyssey.
John would lie if he said he's not excited about it, it's the first show they're touring with since The Tempest; it's also the first time he's leaving to go on tour since moving in with Buck, and that's the not so great part of it. They are so used at having the other around all the time, at coexisting in the same space, at never going to sleep alone; and now John is leaving, even if not for long, and he knows the distance will be a little harder this time.
So he walks up to Buck, who's still stubbornly staring at the void in front of him, and tucks a finger under his chin to tilt his head up. “It's only a week,” he says softly. “I'll be back before you even notice.”
Buck tenses, then lets go. “I am already noticing,” he says, a huge fucking confession from one like him. “There's no beer in the fridge and no socks scattered around in our room. And you stole my book,” he adds, looking pointedly at his now empty bedside table.
“I thought you didn't like beer and having to pick up my dirty socks,” John tries with half a smile.
“It's better than spending a whole week by myself,” Buck answers, then he sighs and brings his hands up to his face, rubbing at it. “I'm sorry, I don't know what's gotten into me. You're working, I know, you're not going on vacation without me. I shouldn't be here complaining like a child.”
John drops his backpack to the floor to hold his boyfriend properly, enveloping him in his strong arms until he can rest his cheek on the side of Buck's head; he feels him tense for a moment, almost resisting the hug, but then Buck melts into it, nuzzling his face in the curve of John's neck, breathing deeply as if to store the smell of him in his nose for the days to come. His arms snake behind John's back, hands clutching at the soft fabric of his sweatshirt to hold him there.
It's been a harsh period on Buck, John knows it very well. Now that he's not a substitute teacher anymore he earns more money and can be more relaxed about his financial stability but he also works a lot more, and now that the winter break is approaching there hasn't been a single day in the past two or three weeks where he didn't have lessons to prepare, tests and essays to grade, parents-teachers meetings to attend to – it's also the reason why he can't join John on these dates in Michigan, despite his tries.
“It's ok, love. You're just working too much,” he reassures him, petting his hair.
“I barely even have the time to take shifts at the Abbotts,” Buck responds, voice muffled by John's skin.
“But your students love you, algebra is doing well thanks to you, and the drama club is fire this year.”
“They are pretty good,” Buck admits making John smile. “I just can't wait for these two weeks to end. I'll be better in January, after I get some rest.”
“I know. Here's what we're gonna do: you're going to survive this week, I'll be sending you math puns and stupid pictures every day like I'm not even gone. Then when I'm back I'm going to take care of you for the remaining week, cleaning the house and cooking all your favorite foods, listening to your rants and cuddling you whenever you need it. Then, for Christmas, we're going to relax at my uncle's cabin just like we planned, and when I say relax I mean I'm not going to let you leave the bed for three days.”
“I don't know that I'm capable of sleeping that much,” Buck comments, a smile clear in his voice.
“And who said anything about sleeping?”
Before the playful teasing can continue though, the alarm on John's phone starts buzzing and he's forced to disentangle himself from the hug to shut it off.
“I have to go,” he says apologetically. Buck still looks like a kicked puppy, but there's more color on his cheeks and the faintest spark in the deep blue of his eyes – it can be enough, for now.
“Did you grab the instant ice?” He asks.
“Ah, fuck. No, I forgot. Don't worry, I'm gonna stop at the supermarket when we get there and-”
“I got you three packs,” Buck shuts him up, this time with a small smile on his lips. “Somehow I knew you were going to forget it.”
John plants a kiss on his lips in response. “That's about the millionth reason why I love you, Buck,” he tells him, making him blush, then he picks up the backpack and follows Buck to the kitchen where he's stored the medical supplies. Then it's really time for him to go, or he'll be late and Crosby will be insufferable.
Buck walks him to the door. John shoots a text to Brady to tell him to meet him at the car, then turns to his boyfriend one last time. “I'll call you when we get there,” he says, leaning to give him one more kiss.
“Be safe. I love you,” Buck tells him, so softly it makes John's heart flutter in his chest. He kisses Buck's forehead in response, lingers there inhaling the familiar smell of his shampoo. “I love you too,” he says, punctuates it with another kiss.
In all his years spent traveling around the country with this show or that one, he's never once felt such a pull to return to one specific place, not even to his parents's house in Wisconsin. He's never felt, John realizes as he watches Buck disappear behind the closing doors of the elevator, at home.
It fills his heart with love, and such tender nostalgia; now he knows how Odysseus felt on his long journey to Ithaca. Lucky for him, a week is bound to pass much quicker than ten years.

Getting Back
Tyki Mikk x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
She squeezed her eyelids tightly, but the intensity of the sunlight that had appeared so suddenly was unavoidable. As her eyes adjusted to the landscape in front of her, discomfort gave way to confusion. She was standing outdoors, in the full light of day.
The warm rays of the sun caressed her face and slid over her shoulders, creating a stark contrast to the wintry cold she had felt before lying down in her bed just moments ago. Because it's winter, she thought.
She looked around cautiously. She was on a path in the middle of a forest. She could see the end of the trail from where she stood, and overcome by confusion, she began to walk towards it. It wasn't until she took a step forward that she realized she was carrying a backpack on her shoulder. With desperation, she checked its contents: two changes of clothes, her glasses case, a toothbrush, medication, a charger, and her phone.
She took the small device, still bewildered, and attempted to locate herself on the map. "No signal," she murmured as she sat on the ground, observing her surroundings. The breeze gently swayed the leaves of the trees, and the sound of the forest was comforting. Could I be dreaming? The idea began to solidify in her mind. I must be! There's no other logical explanation!
She jumped to her feet, Not to mention that my dreams have always been strange. Feeling more relaxed and now filled with a new and insatiable curiosity, she cautiously descended the path.
The only thing that doesn't make sense about this is that I don't usually question my dreams until something truly impossible happens, she thought, remembering the dream where Circus Baby was chasing her, and she was flying away. Now, that was a weird one.
Upon reaching the end of the trail, the trees gave way to a picturesque village that stood, warm and welcoming, taking center stage.
It was indeed a small village, but there were three important things to note. First, the image before her eyes was that of a landscape she had never seen before; it wasn't awe-inspiring or magnificent, just entirely unfamiliar. Second, everyone in the village was dressed in accordance with a bygone era, something resembling the 19th century. And third, despite never having been there, something about this place felt eerily familiar. It was hard to describe. She had never set foot in this village, but there was something about the colors, the buildings, the attire, and the sounds of the people that felt strangely familiar.
It looks like something out of an anime, she thought as she debated whether to enter or not. In my dreams, there's always something chasing me, whether it's a forest animal or a mob of outraged fanatics.
She walked along the outskirts of the village, casually hiding among the trees to avoid prying eyes, exploring the small town that stretched before her.
In the distance, there was someone, a figure that stood out from the crowd. A tall man dressed in period attire, with a top hat and a coat, set him apart from the rest. But whether in a suit or rags, from afar or up close, there was no way she couldn't recognize that silhouette.
"No way...," she whispered, hiding behind a tree as she watched the man calmly walk away from the village entrance. It is a dream after all! She silently slipped closer to him. I never manage to control the dreams where Tyki appears; I have to take this opportunity.
She followed the man closely, calculating her steps and making sure to produce the least noise possible. There are two possibilities, she deduced, observing the man's attire and maintaining a prudent distance. He has just met with the Earl, or he's about to meet with him.
What do I do? Where do I steer this dream? I mean, it would be nice to spend time with him; becoming his friend would be a dream come true, literally, she sighed, her eyes glued to the ground. But how do I get closer? It's not like I can surprise him; the man would kill me befo—
She came to an abrupt halt. Her eyes widened as she realized her mistake. Her breath caught for a moment and then became slow and heavy. Her hands began to tremble as she somehow summoned the courage to lift her gaze. She cautiously scanned the path as it stretched out before her, praying that the lethal man was still in sight. When she finally raised her head fully, she couldn't see him. He wasn't there.
She took a step back, fear trembling in her legs. Her back felt the impact of a solid surface, and, as if knowing what would happen, she opened her mouth reflexively, inhaling as much air as she could until a warm and firm hand cut off her airflow. Instinct led her own hands to try to free her throat from the attacker, who, with his other hand and without the slightest effort, managed to immobilize her completely.
"So," [Name] felt the soft caress of his lips on her ear, "who are we looking for?"
She remained still, cold and static. Relax, she thought. Choose your words carefully and appear harmless. For now, regaining oxygen is a priority.
[Name] gently caressed the back of Tyki's hand with her pinky. He opened his eyes and almost dropped his cigarette, but of course, being behind her, [Name] wasn't able to notice it, though she could sense the slight murmur of confusion, even though he refused to let it escape from his throat.
"I would like to answer," she said with great effort; her throat was beginning to burn. "But you see, it's kinda hard when you can't breathe."
Tyki responded with a small "mhh" and loosened his grip on her neck. "Alright, missy. Now, if you don't mind, I'll take the liberty of asking for your name."
"[Name] [Last Name]," she replied instantly, with an attitude that tried to appear cooperative. "Although everyone calls me [Name]," she added after a few seconds.
"Well, [Name], I'm—"
"Tyki Mikk, the Earl's third disciple," Tyki officially dropped his cigarette. In the split second it took him to realize, he grabbed the young woman by the jaw and forced her to face him. For a moment, she thought he looked younger than she remembered. "What?" she asked innocently. Her big, bright eyes locked onto his, golden and icy.
"What's a little creature like you doing alone in the forest?" the noah asked after a while, once he had made sure that the figure clinging to him carried no innocence.
"I got lost (and I'm not that small, you barely top me by a head)."
"Oh, is that so?"
"That's right."
"And were you following me because you were lost?"
"Yes," she looked him in the eyes. "I was following you because I wanted to ask for directions, but," she shrugged, "I'm a bit shy, so I was gathering courage. And... trying to find the right words so you wouldn't kill me."
"Although it seems I failed miserably."
Tyki looked at her impatiently. Oh man, please, at this rate, I'll wake up from the scare, she thought before adding, "I'm looking for the Earl." Tyki's fingers tensed.
"Why?"
"Well, that's the thing. You see when I said I was lost, it wasn't just a figure of speech. I think he can grant me asylum."
Tyki looked at her bewildered. If I remember correctly, Katsura said that during the early phases of D. Gray-man, Tyki expressed his thoughts with his face. Seeing him like this, up close, I have to admit he's quite transparent, she reflected. He must think I'm stupid. It's not really a lie, but it still hurts.
"The Earl?" he scoffed. "Why would h—"
"Because," [Name] cut in, elongating the "a" in a childish chant, "I have information." She took note of the smug look he had acquired upon hearing her feeble excuse.
"Listen, you don't have to trust me, just confirm that I'm weak (which is true) and I pose no threat of any kind. I promise I won't waste your time, and I know that Adam will find what I have to say interesting enough to at least warrant an audience with him. You can kill me at any time if you think I'm up to something suspicious," Tyki pierced her with his gaze, there was no other way to put it, he was trying to intimidate her, although, to his surprise, she smiled genuinely at him. "Literally," she added, "I have no innocence, and even if I did, I know full well I stand no chance against you in combat, let alone you and the Earl."
Tyki considered the possibilities and came to the conclusion that she was right. Whether she was a deserter from the Order or whoever, she wasn't dangerous, and if she did have valuable information, he had nothing to lose by bringing her to the Earl. Not to mention that she not only knew he was a Noah, no, she was more specific than that, ‘the Earl's third disciple,’ she had said. He didn't even remember that about himself. At the very least, he could confirm that she did indeed know a thing or two.
"Very well," Tyki released her slowly, took off his hat, and made an incredibly graceful bow. The man moved with feline fluidity. "Tyki Mikk, at your service."
[Name] raised an eyebrow as she rubbed her newly liberated wrists. "How gentlemanly," she recalled.
It wasn't until that moment that he took the time to observe her. A young woman, probably not older than twenty-three, she wasn't ugly, nor would he say she was a beauty. The lady in question was quite average, from her height to her features. She had nothing outstanding about her, although he admitted, to himself, that she had a charming sparkle in her gaze. He didn't have much time to think about that; his attention was completely and utterly stolen from her face to her attire. She was wearing strange clothes, and although he had never seen anything like them before, he noted that they eerily resembled something familiar.
"If I'm not mistaken," [Name] said abruptly, shaking him from his trance, "your memory should have records of this clothing." He looked at her with wide eyes and a dropped jaw. She just shrugged. "You couldn't stop looking, and I'm aware that the local fashion doesn't resemble it. I assumed it would catch your attention sooner or later."
This is the most narratively coherent dream I've ever had, she noted in her mind.
Tyki took another cigarette from the pack in his pocket, still not taking his eyes off her clothes, then nodded. "How do you know?"
"I don't. It's just a theory for now," Tyki raised an eyebrow around her to prompt her to elaborate, but [Name] just looked away, slightly embarrassed. "I'll tell you after I talk to the Earl."
"How mysterious."
"I'd prefer to keep it while I’m around you," Tyki responded with an inquisitive "mh," offering her his arm like the gentleman he had been taught to be. "Well, if you find me interesting, there are fewer chances you'll kill me on the spot. If you get bored of me, on the other hand, well... I don't see a tomorrow in that."
Tyki smiled to himself. "You seem to know me quite well, and yet, you're not as scared as most people."
[Name] chuckled softly. "By most, do you mean exorcists?" she asked. "You know, those who are your enemies? Those you're supposed to exterminate?"
Without looking away from the front and with a charming smile on his lips, he asked, "What makes you think your situation is different?"
"That you have no reason to kill me. Not yet, at least."
"Not yet?"
[Name] shrugged. "The Earl might not like me, then you'll have a reason to want to eliminate me, or to be ordered to do so."
They walked the rest of the way in silence, mainly because [Name] was trying not to reveal information until she deemed it appropriate, meaning once she decided what to tell the Earl. They covered a wide stretch of the forest until they reached what appeared to be an abandoned train station. [Name] could see the chubby, green figure of the Earl knitting on a bench.
Tyki noticed how [Name] tensed her muscles and relaxed them with each breath.
Well, this is it. This is the moment, she thought. I guess based on this, the rest of the dream will be decided.
"Tyki, good—" the Earl stopped himself when he saw her. His ears perked up and then lowered as he tilted his head, like a confused dog. "Who is that?"
Tyki let go of her arm and placed her in front of him, resting his hands on her shoulders to respond, "Good morning, Earl. This young lady next to me is [Name][Last Name]. She said she had 'information' that might interest you."
The Earl lifted his head slowly, examining the young woman from head to toe. "A deserter from the Order, perhaps?"
[Name] took a step forward. "No," she took a deep breath, "I'm going to reveal something to you. Something important," she added, "And all I'm going to ask is that, before you decide whether to believe me or not, you allow me to state my case."
Tyki raised an eyebrow skeptically while the Earl carefully set his needles and yarn next to him on the bench.
Now or never, she encouraged herself.
"I probably shouldn't start like this, but I can't think of any other way to say it... Well, I'm almost certain that I come from the future."
[Name] could hear Tyki trying to stifle a laugh behind her.
The Earl, on the other hand, didn't find it funny. "Miss, you have a very poor sense of humor."
[Name] frowned. "Actually, you're right, I do laugh at very bad jokes, I won't lie, but that’s not related to what I just said."
Adam lowered his head and shook it slightly. "You've brought me an unfunny clown."
Tyki removed his hat and made a very slight bow with an amused smile on his face. "Yes, it seems so. My apologies, let me—"
"Wait!" [Name] approached the Earl and looked into his eyes. "I know it's hard to believe, to be totally honest, I'm more inclined to think this is a dream than reality." She sat down on the bench next to the Earl. "So, I don't really care much about the consequences of my actions, but I prefer to stay asleep a little longer, and I'm sure that if you execute me in the dream, I'll wake up (and I don't feel like studying for my exams or looking for a job right now)."
Tyki was leaning towards believing that the woman he had found in the forest was crazy, and Adam almost agreed with him. However, there was something about her that left him unsettled. He decided that trying wouldn't cost him anything, so he added, "Then, Miss [Last Name]..." She raised her hand and cut him off before he could finish the sentence.
"I’m sure I said, let me finish stating my case before deciding whether to believe me or not." She leaned closer, closing the distance between her and the Earl. "May I?"
The irreverence caused him a nervous tic, but out of sheer curiosity, he gestured with his hand to invite her to continue speaking.
[Name] let out a breath through her nose and relaxed a bit. "Now, here's my evidence, because, of course, I don't expect you to simply believe me (I wouldn't)."
She turned in her seat toward the Earl. "As I've told Tyki, I have information from both the past and the future. If you promise not to get defensive, I will reveal something from your past and something from your future, so you can draw your own conclusions."
The Earl's ears perked up again, and he chuckled softly. "Very well."
[Name] reached out her hand. "Deal?"
"Deal," said the patriarch, shaking the offered hand.
"Okay."
Now, the question is, what do I tell him? I can't tell him anything he doesn't know about himself, like that he split in two about fifty years ago, no, or that he's actually Mana Walker.
Tyki decided to approach to observe the scene. The young woman who had presumably lost her mind was looking at the ground at her feet while playing with her fingers. She seemed truly lost in her thoughts until a spark lit up her face when she met the Earl's gaze.
"You killed Nea D. Campbell around thirty or forty years ago, and you're looking for the musician who can move the Ark."
The Earl stopped breathing for a moment, and both [Name] and Tyki noticed the tension in his body. Tyki, in particular, could detect the slight nervous tremor in the patriarch's hands. As he had suspected, even if this girl was crazy, it was evident that she had information. Not even he knew about that. He didn’t even know who Nea D. Campbell was.
"While that is confidential information—"
"Cross Marian also knows about it, yes. And he could have told me if he knew me. I don't really think he would, but it's a logical conclusion that I could find out about this from someone else. That's why I'll add a detail about your future. To place me in time, tell me, have you happened to meet any cursed exorcist recently?"
The Earl looked expectant, she was managing at least a bit of information; that seemed to be true. "No."
[Name] nodded. Then it's safe to assume I'm somewhere before the original story begins, she thought.
"You'll hear about Nea again. Since I don't know exactly what year it is, I'll take a risk and say it will be in about three or four years... Although, well, since you all reincarnate, I don't know if that's something you wouldn't know..."
The Earl stopped hearing the woman in front of him. Yes, it was true that he had suspected he would see Nea again, but he hadn't dared to guess a date.
With narrowed eyes, he returned his attention to the girl who was still babbling, now lower, definitely more for herself, and asked her one more thing: "How do you know?" he demanded, shaking her out of her monologue and bringing her back to the conversation.
"I read it," she answered immediately, without even thinking about it. "You see," she scratched her neck and looked at the ground, as if trying to find the words in the earth to explain, "where I come from, there's something like a history book."
"In fact, it's more like a biography than a neutral textbook about the war, so I lack details, especially about the noah. It's fair to admit from the start that most of the information I have comes without exact dates and is very centered on this specific exorcist, so everything I know revolves around him. Still, I have vague details about your past and future. The thing is," she explained, gesturing with her hands, "I didn't finish the book, so I have very limited information.
"More specifically, two years of events from when this exorcist joins the Order."
Tyki unconsciously bit the filter of his cigarette. What this woman was telling him sounded unreal, impossible, but somehow, feasible. No wonder she thinks it's a dream, he thought. After all, if what she said was true, he wouldn't believe it either.
The Earl was beginning to open up to the possibility that everything [Name] was telling him was indeed real, but he remained skeptical.
[Name] noticed it instantly and, looking at Tyki, jumped from her seat.
"You!" she pointed with a shout. "I have an idea," she said, still pointing at Tyki. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but Tyki can pass through anything, right? Anything belonging to this world, which is why you can't pass through innocence because it's not from 'this world'."
The Earl chuckled softly. "What are you suggesting?" he asked, having a light idea of where she was going.
"Well, I'm not sure if it will work, because the future still belongs to 'this world.'"
Since I definitely didn't come from the future, if this dream remains as coherent as it has been so far, it should work without any issues, she thought.
"But I understand that it's physically impossible to travel back in time, so what about," [Name] raised both index fingers in parallel and separated them a bit, "instead of coming from the future, I come from a parallel world with a different time?"
Adam arched an eyebrow, hidden under his hat. His eyes fixed on the finger a few inches from his face.
"Come on, don't make that face. You came here somehow, right?" The Earl raised his head suddenly to face her. "Yes, I know about that too. Now, back to the important, if my conclusion is right (which I doubt), Tyki shouldn't be able to pass through me. In fact, I'm inclined to believe that if Tyki can't pass through me, Wisely won't be able to read my mind, Sheril won't control my body, and Road won't be able to take my mind anywhere." She looked at the Earl with determined eyes. "And since I'm betting on all or nothing, I'll also say that you won't be able to absorb me."
Adam pondered it for a moment; in a way, everything she said made sense.
"And what if you're wrong?"
[Name] smiled. "All or nothing, sir. If I'm wrong, Tyki kills me."
Tyki watched her with wide eyes and a mouth that looked somewhat like a nervous smile. She's insane, he thought. He looked over the young woman's shoulder at the Earl, who gestured for him to come closer.
“Tyki, may I entrust you with this task?”
The Noah sighed in resignation and shrugged. If she really didn't care for her life, there was nothing he could do about it.
[Name] and Tyki stood facing each other, less than a meter apart, with the Earl watching from the bench.
"You know? Maybe if you beg a little, you might save yourself from this."
[Name] shook her head, and Tyki noticed the excited smile she was trying hard to hide. “Honestly, I think I'm more curious to know if this will work out than he is.”
Totally out of her mind… but 'I'm more inclined to believe this is a dream than a reality' that's what she had said. She really thinks she's dreaming, he concluded. Well, is better to die like this.
Tyki decided to be merciful and handle things delicately. He brushed the fabric of her shirt with just two fingers and looked her in the eyes. "Any last words?"
She gazed at him with an intensity he couldn’t recall ever seeing. After a cute mouth twitch and a glance around the place, she looked back at him.
“Did you hear about the Italian chef who died?” Tyki frowned, totally bewildered. “He pasta-way.”
Officially, the noah lost his second cigarette of the day. He bit his lip trying to restrain himself from smiling, but failed. The absurdity of the moment overwhelmed him, and he burst into laughter that he could barely control.
When he had finished, he straightened up and caught the young woman looking at him with soft eyes and a gentle smile played at the corners of her lips. A faint pink covered her cheeks, and she let out a small giggle.
"You have a really lovely laugh. It's a pleasure to hear it before I die."
Tyki blinked with a silly smile on his face, unsure of how to react. While he was used to flirting, this was different. And absurd. Absurd above everything else. Although he couldn't deny that it was the nicest compliment he had received in a while.
Tyki sighed. All of a sudden, he no longer felt like killing her, but a job was a job. He placed two fingers above her heart again, with every intention of making it as painless as possible, and swiftly pierced.
He withdrew his hand immediately and shook his wrist as he felt the sudden pain in his fingers. [Name] was on the ground in front of him, gently rubbing the area where he had just hit with a wince curving her lips and furrowed brows.
"Ouch," she whimpered, still softly rubbing the spot where he had poked her just a moment ago. "I didn't think that if it didn't work, the impact would hurt."
The Earl interlaced his fingers and watched the scene without a word.
Tyki glanced at his hand, then at the young woman on the ground. His eyes widened again, and he was thankful he didn't have a cigarette in his mouth, as he would have lost it once more time. He leaned down next to her and grabbed her arms, applying force in an attempt to pass through her.
"Hey!" [Name] called, trying to break free from his grip. "You can do the same without hurting me, you know?"
From the future, Tyki saw the young woman in a new light. Does she really come from the future?
"Very well."
Both [Name] and Tyki turned their heads abruptly toward the Earl, realizing they had forgotten about him.
The Earl kept his gaze fixed on the scene before him as [Name] and Tyki interacted. The situation was incredibly strange, but the young woman had provided evidence that was hard to ignore or completely dismissed.
"As difficult as it may seem, I am inclined to think that everything you say is true," the Earl declared finally, breaking his silence. His voice was calm and thoughtful as he continued to watch [Name] and Tyki.
[Name] jumped up. "Really?" Adam just nodded. "Well, that's good news," she said, placing her hands on her hips. "I can't even fully believe it myself," she added, her laughter fading as she noticed the persistent pain in her chest. It wasn't unbearable, just what you'd expect after someone forcefully jabbed two fingers into you. But there was something unsettling about it.
The noah, who had noticed the nervous and almost hysterical atmosphere surrounding the small figure, stood up and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Missy?" he asked, watching as she rubbed the area where he had tried to penetrate. Just as he started to wonder if he had hurt her too badly, she murmured, "I've never felt pain in a dream before," she turned slowly to see his hand on her shoulder,  “nor… warmth."
She opened her eyes wide as acceptance settled into the depths of her mind. A wave of nausea washed over her, and her vision blurred. Her heart adopted a dangerous rhythm that threatened to burst out of her chest, and her legs turned into jelly, barely able to support her weight. It felt as if the ground had been ripped out from under her feet. She clung to Tyki's arm for support as she struggled to breathe.
Tyki witnessed the scene in slow motion and managed to catch her before she completely lost consciousness. It's not a dream anymore, is it? he thought. He held her in his arms and looked at the Earl.
"What should we do with her?"
Adam looked at the unconscious body in Tyki's arms. "We'll take her with us for now. That's what she wanted, right?"
Tyki nodded. "She mentioned needing a place to stay."
"Very well, then. It's settled," the Earl said, his ears twitching up and down one last time. "Let's go. We're already running late, and on top of that, we'll have to add an extra seat at the table."
The Earl made a mental note to find some proper clothes for their unconscious guest. He watched as Tyki performed a complicated maneuver to lift the young woman's backpack and added, "Be careful. You're carrying a very special guest."

Broken Hearts Football Club | Chapter 13
Previous chapter | Next chapter
Masterlist
Tumblr media
"Are you ready for Sunday's game?" Ben asked.
"I was born ready" June smiled.
"If you win, the league is yours."
"No way, really?"
"You can't be sarcastic and smile at the same time, Maxwell. It loses all its meaning."
"Shut up and keep cutting that tomato" she said, trying really hard to stop smiling like an idiot.
She and Ben had kept seeing each other even more often, spending most of her free afternoons and nights at his house since she still shared her flat with John, and they would usually follow the same routine.
She would buy some food after training, they would cook it together, and then eat it while watching something on tv until one of them fell asleep. Nine times out of ten, that would be June. Since she didn't like driving that late at night, she would stay at Ben's, always in the same room. By now, it felt as if it belonged to her.
She had some clothes in the closet to get changed, a toothbrush and some creams in the bathroom, an extra blanket on the bed for when she got cold, a phone charger.... And if you asked Ben, he would tell you that it already smelled of her, of that perfume she always wore and that reminded him of his summer holidays in Spain.
In the mornings, and if June didn't have training, they would go out for a walk around the neighborhood before going back home and making breakfast, sitting together once again to eat and just talk, getting to know each other more and more. They weren't seeing the other as June Maxwell and Ben Chilwell anymore. They were just June and Ben. Two friends who occasionally made out.
"Are you doing anything special after the game?" he asked.
"Celebrate" she smirked.
"And if you don't win?"
"We are winning, Chilwell. Stop trying to jinx it."
"I'm not trying anything" he said, lifting his hands.
"Careful! You have a knife there!"
"Oh, sorry" he said, putting it down.
"That was dangerous, Ben."
"I know, I'm sorry" he said, kissing her cheek.
"Being cute won't make me forget that I had a knife next to my eye."
"It wasn’t next to your eye" he laughed.
"That's what you say. You weren't paying attention."
"I'm sorry" he said, kissing her cheek again and hugging her from behind.
"Ben… Stop."
"Why?" he asked, now kissing her neck.
"Because I also have a knife, and you are distracting me."
"Am I?" he said against her skin, sending goosebumps down her spine.
"Ben… please."
"Ok, fine" he chuckled. "But only because that burger smells amazing and I'm famished" he said with a cheeky smile.
"Thank you" June replied, trying to focus on what she was doing and not on how close Ben's body had been to hers, on how he had made her feel.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“How does it feel lifting the league trophy, June?” Andrew asked.
“Honestly… best feeling ever” she said, a big smile on her face.
“How are you going to celebrate?”
“I don’t know yet. We may wait until the party on Tuesday with the boys to do something big and celebrate both titles together. But I heard there is pizza in the changing room, so that’s a beginning” she laughed.
“I like how that sounds” Jacob said. “What about you, Chilly? Anything to add?”
“Just congratulations. And behave yourself, Maxwell. I may have gone soft on you this season, but that may not happen on the next one” he smirked.
“I’ll try” she winked, noticing how Ben’s cheeks had turned a shade darker.
“Ok, I think we can let June go eat that pizza” Andrew chuckled.
“I think we can, yes” Jacob said. “Enjoy the summer, June. You deserve it.”
“Thank you, guys. You too” she smiled. “And you keep an eye on your phone” she whispered to Ben once her microphone was off.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Are we doing something tomorrow or not?” Vittoria asked.
“I think I’m gonna be too tired, to be honest” Lauren yawned. They were on the bus on their way back to London, most of their teammates taking a nap or just catching up with their families after celebrating at the stadium.
“June?”
“I have plans” she said, her eyes fixed on her phone.
“Plans? With whom?”
“With Chilly, obviously” Lauren chuckled. “Are you taking your relationship to the next base?”
“There is no relationship” June replied, rolling her eyes.
“But whatever you have going on is going to the next base, isn’t it?”
“I would not complain if it happened” she smirked.
“June!” Vittoria laughed.
“What? The last time we met he was touchier than usual and I’ve been horny since then. I need a release.”
“Did she drink anything?” Vittoria asked Lauren. “She had never been this… open about her feelings for him.”
“I don’t have feelings for him.”
“Of course you don’t, June. Of course you don't” Vittoria said.
“Lauren, what is it?” June said, ignoring her other friend.
“Uh?”
“You are giving me Leah’s judgy look. What is going on inside that head of yours?"
“It’s nothing. I’m just trying to decide when you are going to fuck up things with Chilly” Lauren shrugged.
“Lauren! Don’t be like that” Vittoria said. “This may work out, he may be the one!"
“He might, yes. But we both know June, and she could still ruin it.”
“Love the confidence” June replied. “But he isn’t the one or the love of my life. He is just a friend.”
“Yeah, yeah. A friend you don’t have feelings for and that you want to shag just because you are horny.”
“Exactly” she said, trying to keep all the things she had been feeling for him lately locked in the back of her head. All the times he had made her heart skip a beat with something he had said or with a smile. All the times she had felt funny things on her stomach when he had kissed her, touched her. They were just friends and nothing else, she couldn’t allow herself to think otherwise. It was too scary, and as Lauren said, she would definitely end fucking things up.

SR Jamil Viper Masquerade Dress Personal Story: Part 1
"With a little ingenuity"
Part 1 (Part 2)
Tumblr media
[Scarabia Dorm – Lounge]
―The day before the social exchange.
Jamil: Of all people, I…
Jamil: I can't believe I had forgotten to prepare you another towel on top of my spare towel. I'm glad I realized now, before heading towards the gathering.
Kalim: Man, Jamil, you worry too much~
Jamil: That sort of complacency can invite unexpected troubles.
Jamil: He who scoffs a single towel will in turn cry over that towel.
Kalim: W-Wow, you're really taking this seriously. Is it that important?
Jamil: It's that important. I'm heading to the Mystery Shop now. Let me know if there's anything else you need.
Kalim: Something I need…? You've already got so much ready for me, I don't think I can think of anything else…
Tumblr media
[Mister S's Mystery Shop]
Jamil: That finishes up the towel preparations. Now, what else needs to be prepared…?
Deuce: Ah, Viper-senpai! Hello!
Jamil: Hm? Oh, it's you, Deuce… What's going on, you seem pretty hyped up.
Deuce: That's cause it's almost time for the social exchange! I've been so restless for a while now…
Deuce: I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TOMORROW, VIPER-SENPAI!!
Jamil: Good grief… Don't get too carried away. It's great that you're excited, but it won't do if you wear yourself out before we even get to the event.
Deuce: I'm alright! I've got a ton of stamina, so.
Deuce: But hey, why're you here at the Mystery Shop, Viper-senpai? Oh, are you still packing for the trip?
Jamil: You know we're leaving tomorrow, right? Of course I've already finished my packing some time ago. I should be asking you if you're done.
Deuce: Yessir, I am!
Jamil: You sure? When you're that adamant, I can't help but get more suspicious…
Jamil: I'm not going to want to deal with it if your lack of preparation causes me any troubles.
Deuce: I'm definitely ready. I have a change of clothes, my phone charger, pen and paper… And I made sure to pack my toothbrush, too.
Jamil: Is that it? What about a bag for your souvenirs, or a foldable umbrella?
Deuce: Oh, I don't have a foldable umbrella… Now that you mention it, I might need one.
Deuce: If I had to appear at the event wearing something soaked from the rain, that'd look pretty bad as one of Night Raven College's representatives.
Deuce: I'll buy one here.
Jamil: That's good. Also, you should get a few other things like scarves, cotton swabs, or paper soap, just in case.
Deuce: Eh, do I really need something like that? I heard that it's not really that cold enough to wear a scarf around this time in the City of Flowers.
Deuce: And I don't really see me needing to use any cotton swabs to clean any scuffs or dirt off…
Deuce: Also, what's paper soap? Does it clean off dirt better than regular soap?
Jamil: No, it's just soap that's been sliced extremely thin, like paper.
Deuce: Oh, then I don't really need to bring it, I'll just use the soap they have at wherever we're staying!
Jamil: Everything I mentioned are all pretty useful, and compact, right?
Jamil: With a little ingenuity, you can handle any trouble thrown your way, so there's not harm in bringing them.
Deuce: Haha... You sure worry too much, if you're thinking of possible troubles…
Jamil: Sigh… Maybe you're not as carefree as my Dorm Leader, but you're still a little too optimistic. You can never be too careful, you know.
Jamil: You should always try to make sure you don't have any regrets once a problem rears its head.

he tastes like chocolate pt.6
[part 1] [part 5] [part 7] [read on ao3]
Steve felt a little stupid knocking on his own front door, but better safe than sorry. He waited a beat before opening it, bracing for indecent noises. Instead, he heard the TV going.
“Steve?” Robin yelled from the living room. He took that as his cue to step inside more so she could see him. Sitting cross legged next to her on the couch was a very pretty redhead that Steve vaguely recognized as Vickie, Robin’s latest dating app match.
“I’m not staying,” Steve felt the need to clarify for Vickie’s sake, despite the fact that she seemed fully engrossed in whatever they were watching and barely even noticed that someone else had come inside. Robin gave him a thumbs up as he turned down the hall to his room to grab his stuff.
He grabbed a pair of pajama pants and his phone charger and debated for a minute whether he should bring his meds with him or just take them while he was there. Easier to just take them then, he figured. Then he wouldn’t have to worry about forgetting them in the morning, or having to explain why he takes antidepressants for migraines.
It would just be easier.
He grabbed his toothbrush out of the bathroom and quickly ducked into the living room to kiss Robin on the top of her head before leaving for the night.
Eddie was on his phone when Steve got back out to the idling van, handful of items tucked under one arm.
"Hellfire?" Steve asked, catching a glimpse of Eddie's screen as he got in the van.
"Hm? Oh, yeah. Group chat. There's some party planning happening now but it's just the guys I play D&D with." Eddie slipped his phone back in his pocket and waited for Steve to get settled before pulling out of the parking lot.
"Oh, not you too," Steve groaned. Eddie couldn't tell if he was being serious or not.
"What, is that a deal breaker?" Eddie laughed. "The metalhead stuff is fine but the nerd shit is too far?"
"No! Just sometimes feel like me and Robs are the two people on the planet who don't play."
"I mean, if you wanted to learn you could join my-" Steve cut him off by burying his face in his pajama pants and screaming quietly. Eddie laughed so hard he very nearly ran a red light, braking hard at the last second. "So that's a no, then?"
"Fuckin' hell… Yeah, I'm gonna pass this time I think. I've got a reputation to uphold here."
"Oh, and what reputation is that? No, waitwaitwait, let me guess!" Eddie put a hand up to keep Steve from talking, fortunately not taking his eyes off the road anymore.
"Oh god…" Steve sighed, sinking down in his seat.
"Youngest of seven," Eddie started, counting on his fingers as he listed things out. "Used to babysit, and you still hang out with him. Not about the college life. You don't do nerd shit, you don't listen to metal, but you get along with people who do. You smoke, let's say socially…"
There was a long pause. Steve could practically hear the gears turning in Eddie's head. He was chewing on his lip while he thought.
"Got it!" Eddie snapped his fingers and pointed at Steve accusingly. "Washed up golden child."
Eddie knew he was right on the money when Steve made a noise like he'd been shot.
"Ouch, dude. Jesus," Steve choked out, hand over his heart like it was the most hurtful thing he'd ever heard. "Y'know, all of a sudden staying home with Robin and Vickie tonight doesn't sound so bad."
"I was right?" Eddie grinned.
Steve sighed, chewing the inside of his cheek. "They used to call me King Steve in high school."
Eddie laughed again, long and loud, relishing in this new knowledge. Steve shrunk into himself a bit more
"Aw, c'mon Stevie, have a sense of humor. Here, do me."
"Do- what?" Steve stuttered, trying to ignore the innuendo.
"Guess my reputation!"
Steve stared at Eddie for a moment, rolling what little he knew about the man around his head. An artist and a musician, shitty parents were practically a given at that point, lives with his uncle partially for definitely-not-school reasons, obviously queer, clearly a metalhead, plays D&D. Scary looking, at least according to him, but considerate to a fault.
"High school drop out?" he ventured, aiming for snarky but landing closer to judgey.
"Close!" Eddie yelled, smiling wide, tapping his hand on the steering wheel. He didn't seem to mind Steve's tone at all. "They made me do this program for kids who are having trouble graduating cause I was gonna get held back my senior year a second time. So instead, I took college classes for high school credit and did not, technically, drop out."
"Huh. That's kinda cool. My second guess was theater kid."
"Oh, you cut me deep, Stevie. Reading me like a fucking book."
"The D&D thing gave it away. Not an actor, though. Sound or stage crew."
"You seem awfully knowledgeable in the realm of high school theater, Steve. Do you have something you'd like to share with the class?"
"I- okay, it was one play, alright? It was a stupid little two act thing and my English teacher was giving extra credit to anyone who auditioned, cause she was also the drama director, right? So, extra credit to anyone who auditioned and an automatic passing grade to anyone who made the cast."
"That seems dubiously ethical," Eddie interjected.
"Oh, totally. But I was bad at English - I mean, really bad - so I'd take all the help I could get."
"You auditioned?"
"Got the lead role."
"Oh, fuck you. Of course you did. Fuckin' hated guys like that, no experience, getting the lead on the first try. The egos on those people, Christ." Eddie laughed his way through his tirade, but he was only half joking.
"Damn, I'm sorry I guess," Steve laughed with him. "If it helps, I really think she cast me out of pity. I wasn't good."
"Nah, I'm sure you did fine."
“I one hundred percent did not do fine. There’s a reason I did sports instead of drama.”
“What sports?”
“Basketball and swim.”
“Shit dude, you guys had a swim team? That’s cool!”
“I’m sensing sarcasm.”
“Nah, for real! My high school was way too poor for that shit! Like, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t really, uh, vibe, I guess, with the sorta… jock athletic types. But I was an openly gay teenager, man, I was walking the mile with the scene girls watching the track guys do their thing during gym.”
“Oh, you were one of those,” Steve said, nodding knowingly.
“Yeah I was one of those,” Eddie replied emphatically. “If we had a swim team, I wouldn’t have survived.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
“I’m a simple man, Steve. A simple man with simple wants, and against all odds, athletes do it for me.”
“Good to know.”
“Well, what about you? What was King Steve chasing?” Eddie caught himself being weird, again, and quickly changed the subject.
The way Eddie said King Steve made Steve want to gag. The nickname was fine when he first got it. He liked that people liked him and looked up to him. It almost made up for the way his parents treated him. But it stopped being fun his junior year, and by senior year when the new guy showed up, he was quick to let himself be dethroned. It was just so much pressure. The same kind of pressure he was getting at home.
“Ugh. Don’t ever call me that,” Steve cringed. “But no, I uh… I really just kind of cycled through girls in high school. Well, no, that’s not true, there was this one girl I dated for a while, but. After her, the King Steve shit sort of ended and no one wanted anything to do with me anymore.”
“Oh… Just girls?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Nothing, you just said… About your wingman trying to hook you up with-”
“Oh! Yeah, no, I realized I was bisexual after I met Robin. Apparently the normal amount for straight people to be attracted to the same gender is, uh. A lot closer to zero than what I was experiencing.”
Eddie tried to not make his sigh of relief too obvious. He believed Nancy, and he had a feeling that she was the girl Steve was talking about, but it felt like a weird time to bring up the fact that he was friends with Steve’s high school ex. He just wanted the confirmation from Steve that he was, in fact, bisexual, and he hoped he hadn’t laid it on too thick with the liking athletes thing. It was true, of course, and knowing Steve was a jock in high school definitely wasn’t doing Eddie’s impulse control any favors, but Eddie wasn’t a man known for his subtlety. He just… He didn’t want to scare Steve off. He wanted this. He didn’t want to fuck it up by being weird and gross.
They pulled back into the trailer park to find Wayne standing at the foot of Murray’s porch steps, smoking with Murray and another man Steve didn’t recognize. Eddie didn’t bother turning the engine off before he got out.
The men paused their conversation as Eddie got out of the van.
“Gotta go?” he asked, walking up to Wayne. He could hear Steve getting out of the car behind him.
“Yep,” Wayne nodded.
“We were just talking about your boy there,” Murray said quietly, waving to Steve as he joined the circle.
“He’s not-” Eddie started before realizing Steve was practically at his side already. “Hey. Wayne’s gotta take the van to work. I can take you home in the morning when he gets back.”
“Sounds good,” Steve nodded, shoving his hands in his pockets.
The man Steve didn’t recognize said something in a language he also couldn’t identify.
“Da,” Eddie replied. “If that’s okay, I mean.”
“Of course, Eddie,” Murray smiled, giving Eddie a suggestive look. Steve had no idea what was going on.
“Cool. We’re gonna go,” Eddie said, jerking his thumb back at his own trailer. He hooked his arm around Steve’s and dragged him along before Murray and Wayne could embarrass him any more.
“Who was Mr. Gibberish there?” Steve asked once they were out of earshot.
“Hm? Alexei? He’s Russian. Doesn’t speak a lot of English.”
“You speak Russian?” Steve asked, shocked, as Eddie let them into the trailer. Eddie laughed.
“Not if you ask Alexei. But yeah, living next to them for so many years, I’ve picked up a little.”
“Are they… I mean, him and Murray-”
“Gay? I have no fucking idea, dude. They’ve lived here at least as long as I have and I literally could not tell you. Frankly, I don’t wanna know.”
“Yeah, that’s… That’s fair. I don’t think I actually want the answer.”
“Good choice.”
“What did he say to you?”
“Huh? Oh, don’t worry about it. Normal neighbor shit, y’know?”
Eddie had started wandering back towards his bedroom as they talked so he could toss his coat. Steve followed him into the room, leaving the door open behind him, and started looking around.
Much like the rest of the Munson trailer, it was a far cry from what Steve had grown up with. There was so much personality in it. The walls were almost entirely covered with posters, photos, drawings, and a giant bedsheet tapestry that read CORRODED COFFIN in a sharp sort of font. There were guitars and amps lining the room and clothes all over the floor. Eddie’s bed wasn’t made, and his desk was covered in books and papers and tiny pots of paint and other art supplies. One tall bookshelf was packed entirely full of books and minifigures and empty water bottles.
Eddie sat down on his bed and pushed himself back so he could lean against the wall, growing more and more self-conscious as Steve examined his room, realizing how messy it was, how much trash was on the floor, everything that might be off-putting.
“The hell- Do you speak German, too?” Steve asked, tapping on one of the books on Eddie’s bookshelf, a German edition of the Lord of the Rings.
“Oh, actually yeah. I mean. Enough to read it at least, and listen to music. I could probably hold a conversation if I had to, but uh, I’ve never had to.”
“Dude. How many languages do you speak?”
“I swear that’s it. English, a little German, a little Russian.”
“How the fuck did you get held back in high school twice?”
“Because the American public education system as an institution is an intellectual sinkhole that only aims to teach you how to take tests and follow instructions and be a perfect little cog in the machine, and not actually retain or comprehend new information or foster a love of learning or, god forbid, think for yourself… And also I have, like, a lot of ADHD.” Eddie pushed a hand through his hair, nervously rubbing at the back of his neck.
Steve laughed and sat down on the edge of Eddie’s bed, holding his bundle of stuff in his lap.
“That makes sense,” he said. “That’s so cool, dude. I took Spanish for two years in high school and retained fucking none of it. Robin speaks all sorts of languages. She keeps trying to teach me, but like, again, bad at English and it’s the only one I know.”
“Well, at least you’re pretty,” Eddie laughed. He didn’t mean to make Steve blush, but he could see Steve’s whole face flush red as he pushed his hair back, smiling bashfully but looking away from Eddie. “Anyway,” Eddie cleared his throat. “Um. It’s late so we should probably, like. Sleep. We’ve got a party tomorrow after all.”
“Oh. Right, yeah.”
"So, the couch is like, crazy uncomfortable, my bed's not much better, and I don't care where I sleep so you pick."
"Pick… dude, I'm not gonna make you sleep on the couch in your own house! What kind of dick move is that?"
Eddie shrugged, leaning forward to untie his boots. "You're the guest," he said plainly.
"Okay, I'm not gonna commandeer your room, though. What kind of friends do you have that they make you sleep on the couch?"
"Oh, no, if my friends stay over, we just all cram on the bed or make a pillow nest on the floor. But like, I dunno, you… We don't know each other that well, I didn't want to throw that option out and make you uncomfortable." Eddie could feel this face heating up, and started quickly working his fingers through his curls, instinctively trying to hide behind his hair.
"Oh good, you are normal," Steve laughed.
"The fuck does that mean?" Eddie giggled in mock offense.
"Nothing! Just, that's what me and all my friends did. Robs and I still sometimes share a bed, or like, we'll drag my mattress out into the living room and have a movie night like that."
"Aww, that's so cutesy I could vomit. And you wonder why people think you're dating?"
"No, I know why," Steve sighed.
"Well, it sounds to me like you’re trying to sleep with me on the first date," Eddie smirked, waggling his eyebrows in a way that couldn't be taken as anything but goofy. He leaned over into Steve's space, all but crawling into his lap. Steve didn't lean away, but he put his hand against Eddie's forehead to push him back.
"Oh, fuck off. I’m saying we're both adults, and I don't care if you don't," he sighed, laughing like Eddie was wrong. Innuendo aside, there really wasn’t anything Steve wanted more right then than to share a bed with Eddie. He hadn’t really expected to get the chance so soon.
Soon, like Steve hadn't spent the better part of three months pining after the guy, flirting his little heart out all December.
Eddie smiled at him and backed off, scooting to the edge of the bed to actually take his boots off. He glanced sideways at Steve, partially obscured by his hair.
This very pretty boy was all but begging to share a bed. This pretty, kind, hilarious boy, god, he even smelled good. Eddie caught the scent of his cologne while he was making a fool of himself. They'd had each others' numbers for not even twelve hours and Eddie was already throwing himself at Steve.
"I'll take the couch," Eddie smiled, deciding not to dig his pit of embarrassment any deeper tonight. He stood up and glanced around his floor for anything resembling pajamas. "I’m sure you saw the bathroom on the way in. There's an outlet there behind the nightstand. And don't snoop, there's shit in here I don't want to have to explain."
"I'll try to resist the urge," Steve chuckled, working so hard to keep the disappointment out of his voice. Eddie clicked his tongue, flashing Steve a smile and double finger guns before grabbing some clothes off the floor.
"I'll be in the living room, holler if you need anything," Eddie said, turning to go.
"Hey Eddie?" Steve called after him before he got too far out the door.
"Hm?"
"Thanks, again, for letting me crash here."
"No problem," Eddie shrugged.
"Yeah, but still." For a moment, Eddie almost reconsidered sleeping on the couch. Despite how exhausted he looked, Steve was adorable. Like a kitten falling asleep sitting up or something.
"Good night, Stevie," Eddie smiled, only rolling his eyes a little bit.
"G'night, Eds."
Eddie bit his tongue and nodded, turning to leave for real this time and closing the door behind him. The nickname and Steve's sleepy smile were all he could think about as he killed all the lights and flopped down on the couch in the living room. He took his jewelry off and set it all in a pile on the coffee table, but didn't bother changing into the clothes he'd grabbed, just stretched out on the couch and tried not to think too much about the man in his bedroom.
Steve, on the other hand, did change clothes, because god help him he could not sleep in jeans. He plugged his phone in and hit the lights and crawled into Eddie's bed and, likewise, tried not to think too much about the fact that he was in Eddie's bed. It was an impossible task. In the quiet trailer as Steve drifted off, all he could focus on was how close and still so far away Eddie was, like he was holding Steve at arm’s length on purpose, and Steve didn’t know why.

Amber: …
You look down at your phone watching the message bubble disappear then come back and disappear again
“Typical,” you say, putting down your phone on the kitchen counter. You’ve been friends with Amber and the group for about six years now. You all became friends when you were a junior in high school and they were freshmen. You're now 21 so you had more “freedom” than them if you counted still living with your mom past graduation. You felt washed up but at least you still had friends right? You take yourself upstairs to grab your things leaving your phone on the counter not bothered enough to grab it
‘As you head to your childhood room, you think to yourself, "Okay, I need my toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, deodorant, comfy clothes, and my charger." The room still has posters of your favorite bands and horror memorabilia plastered all over the walls, making it seem like you were a 17-year-old horror film and music fanatic your entire life, growing up you watched horror movies like The Stab series and Friday the 13th. You much preferred classic horror over the "elevated," as your mother called them, the originals were the staples every Halloween.
You grab everything you need and head downstairs, ready to grab your keys. Just before you can reach them, you hear your phone ringing from the kitchen counter where you left it while you were upstairs. You sigh as you walk toward your phone, wondering if it’s Amber calling to tell you that the plans were canceled at the last minute.
"Hello?" you say as you pick up the phone
“Uh, hey, it’s Wes.” You move the phone from your ear, looking down at the screen and realizing it reads "Wes" on the caller ID
“Oh yeah, hey Wes, what’s up? Did someone die?” You joke before hearing Wes clear his throat.
“Actually… Y/N it's Tara she was stabbed”
You feel a twinge of panic wash over you. "What?" was all you could muster up before Wes answered again.
“She’s in critical condition” He sounded like he was on the verge of tears. “They said she was stabbed seven times and was left there, but luckily, she called the police, they got there before they could get anymore in.”
You stand there in shock about what you're hearing not able to form a viable sentence before Wes talks again
“I think you should come, Y/N, for Tara. I’m really worried about her; I don't want her to wake up and be alone.”
“Did you call, you know who?” you ask while grabbing your keys and running out the door towards your car.
“Not yet. I wanted to call her if we got an update; she's in the ICU right now.” Wes speaks in a monotone voice. “Please hurry Y/N”
You quickly pull out of your driveway, saying a brief goodbye before hanging up and speeding to the hospital.
Arriving at the hospital was nerve-wracking. As you got out of the car, your phone started to ring, making you jump.
Unknown caller appeared on the caller ID. You decided not to answer because you were in a rush, so you declined the call and picked up your pace before your phone rang again.
“Hello?” you answer as you continue walking toward the entrance of the hospital
“Hello, is this Carly?" asked the guy on the other end of the call
“Um, no? I’m sorry, I think you've got the wrong number. Listen, it happens a lot, but I have to go; I’m kind of in a rush.” You hang up the phone before he could answer and keep walking toward the doors. As you enter Woodsboro Hospital, a wave of anxiety washes over you as you worry about Tara and how this happened.
You see Wes standing at the front desk, talking to the nurse about what you assume is Tara’s condition “Hey, holy shit what happened? Is she alright? Did they say if she'll pull through?” You rush over to Wes and pull him into a hug “No, nothing yet. They are still patching her up. I don’t think we will hear anything until the morning. I was really worried, Y/N. My mom got the call and told me to get in the car, with no explanation until we were halfway here.” You step back from the hug and ask, “Do they know who did it? Do they have a general description?” You feel your phone buzz again in your pocket, but you dismiss it, waiting for Wes’s answer “No, they don't have any information at the moment, but we hope that if Tara pulls through, she will be able to give a description.” You sigh as you look around “Did you call Amber?” You grab your phone out of your back pocket and look down at the screen
5 Missed Calls from Unknown Caller ID
You initially wondered who it was, but you had more pressing matters to address “Yes, I called her as soon as I heard; she is on her way here.” You feel a sense of relief knowing someone else is going to be here with you for the night “That's good you know how close Amber and Tara are; she would be heartbroken if anything worse happened and she didn't know.” You put your phone back into your pocket, forgetting about the unknown caller, and start walking with Wes to the waiting room.
You sat there for what felt like an eternity. Wes had already left and said to text or call when we got an update. Amber arrived shortly after, broken down in tears. “I can't believe that someone would do this.” You nodded and hugged her. "I know, but she will be fine."
As you begin to drift off to sleep, your phone rings again.
Unknown Caller ID
“Hello?” You answer sounding tired and irritated
“Hello again.” the voice on the other line sounded gravely and deep
“Who is this? Can I help you with something?” You tried your best to not sound exhausted but all you could muster up was a monotone response
“Yes you actually can I was wondering what’s your favorite scary movie?” As you scoff in response you hear the person slightly shuffle around waiting for a response
“Listen I really don’t have time for scam callers I extremely busy so I’d appreciate if you wouldn’t call me and ask such stupid questions” Your voice was laced with irritation and venom “If you call me again you will be blocked thank you and goodbye” As you went for the end call button you felt as if you were being watched.
“IF YOU HANG UP ON ME I’LL GOUGE YOUR INSIDES OUT AND STRING YOU UP LIKE A FUCKING PIG” You felt your heart drop looking around at the empty hospital except for the additional staff and Amber who was passed out in the waiting room where you were 5 minutes ago “Alright who the fuck are you?! Chad?! If this is you I swear to fucking god if this is a joke it’s not funny” You felt your heart skip a couple beats your breathing feeling erratic as you rush towards the waiting room “This isn’t Chad” was all you heard faintly as you reach the room where Amber was supposed to be “Amber?” You look around not seeing her anywhere a wave of panic hits you like a truck “Aw what’s wrong Y/N scared for your little friend? Answer my fucking question what’s your favorite scary movie.” You look around trying to find the nearest escape if anything goes south “Listen who ever you are I don’t want to play your fucking game where is Amber I swear to god if you hurt her” the voice laughs tone laced with amuse and anger “You’ll do what. I’ll slice you up before you could even call 911 NOW ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION!” As you hold the phone up to your ear you feel yourself shaking “Um I- I don’t know I can’t think right now” You take off outside which you felt was your first mistake but you needed to get out of here fuck this “Answer the question Y/N or Amber dies and I gut you like a fish” You press your car keys trying to find where you parked if you could at 3:34am pitch black was all you could see apart from the occasional car passing by on the highway across from the hospital “You know going outside by yourself is a death wish I could be right behind you and you wouldn’t know” You whip around grabbing the taser that is hooked to your car keys ‘Fuck I knew this would come in handy’ you thought to yourself as you frantically look around “Listen fucker my friends mom is the Woodsboro sheriff I have her phone number one call and your fucking over with you hear me fucking over with?!” Your voice sounded pathetic and terrified definitely not scaring anyone but yourself “Times up Y/N” You felt your heart drop ‘Times up tf does that mean’ before you could answer you felt someone grab your hair throwing you down to the cold concrete of the parking lot, as you roll yourself over you see a person in a ghost face mask bring down a knife aiming for your face before they could you bring up your hand trying to stop the attacker while kicking them in the stomach “fuck fuck fuck” was all you could get out while you try to get up and take off in a sprint not being able to see in front of you made you panic even more ‘they could be anywhere god dammit Y/N you truly are a fucking idiot’ you start to hear noises all around you realizing you don’t have your phone on you anymore cause you dropped it after you got jumped by this psycho you started to feel hopeless apart of you excepted it that you were gonna die in a parking lot alone but just as you thought things couldn’t get any worse you felt a sharp sting in your shoulder painful and warm looking up you watch as the masked psycho twists and rips the knife out of you and tries to go for another shot you scream in agony successfully shoving them away and sprinting with the hardest amount of force that could probably rival an Olympic runner you see the hospital entrance not to far away ‘please please please someone be there’ you though as you hear the masked psycho running right behind you gaining as you finally reach the entrance you see nurses and staff talking “PLEASE PLEASE FUCK SOMEONE HELP HE IS TRYING TO KILL ME” you feel yourself drift out of consciousness not before you watch as the nurses and staff rush towards you hitting the cold hard hospital floor was all you remember before blacking out.
This was never how you wanted to die… being brutally slashed up by some asshole in a ghost face mask but life had a weird way of fucking up everything ‘clear’ you felt your body jolt ‘bump it up to 10’ ‘come on Y/N come back to us’ you faintly hear the nurses shuffle around trying to bring you back from whatever state you were in ‘clear’ another jolt this time you felt yourself being ripped awake gasping for air “Hey hey listen to me do you know where you are? What’s your name can you tell us your name?” You slightly crack you eyes back open exhausted by the stab wound and the jolts of electricity that just surged through your body “Y/N and I’m at Woodsboro General Hospital” You squeaked out the response before almost drifting to sleep “Oh no no we need her awake” a different voice was heard a female mid 40s early 50s probably Wes’s mother Judy Hicks you open your eyes back up looking up at the blurry figure stalking there way into the room and telling the nurses they needed a moment “Y/N are you alright?” You rub your eyes hopefully getting rid of the blurriness which it did slightly “alright wouldn’t be the word I’d describe how I’m feeling right about now but yeah I’m fine” Your voice was bitter and your mouth was dry “did they catch the fucker?” You asked genuinely hoping that at least someone saw your assailant before they took off “unfortunately not” Judy responded “The bastard ran off before anyone could catch a glimpse said you came in screaming then blacked out covered in blood with a pretty bad stab wound to the shoulder” You scoff thinking about how fucking ridiculous all this is for a town that’s had this much tragedy you’d think there would be more security especially after what just happened to Tara “Is there anyway you could give us a description of your attacker? I understand if you don’t especially after what just happened” You sigh and fiddle with the IV drip attached to your hand “He was um wearing a ghost face mask” You felt the tone of the room shift before you look up again locking eyes with Judy “That’s what Tara said too said some asshole in a ghost face mask attacked her” your eyes widen “Tara’s awake? Since when while I was out?” You start to get up pulling out the IV from your hand and taking the heart monitor off your finger “where is she? I need the know she’s alright” you get up from the hospital bed feeling a shock of pain come from your shoulder making you stumble a little bit “Woah woah hold up Y/N lay back down you don’t need to be up” You lightly shove Mrs. Hicks out of the way rushing down the hall pushing back the throbbing pain from your shoulder to the back of your mind finally reaching the call desk “Um hi I’m looking for Tara Carpenter she was admitted recently I heard she woke up” your shoulder felt like it was on fire and the smell of metallic feels your nose “yes ma’am Tara Carpenter? She’s down the hall” you nodded and took off down the hall hearing the sound of voices get closer as you approach the room “holy shit Tara are you okay?” You walk closer to Tara taking ahold of your shoulder feeling a wet sensation you look down at your hand seeing it was covered in blood “fuck it’s fine are you alright I heard what happened” Tara’s face was in shock her eyes were locked on your bleeding shoulder and the exhausted look on your face “I’m fine luckily what about you what the fuck happened to you?” You look down thinking of how to say that you got jumped by a psycho in the parking lot cause you decided to go outside after getting threatened over the phone “long story” was all you could say to save yourself the embarrassment “Holy shit Y/N” you heard a voice come from behind you turning around you come face to face with Amber, Sam, and a tall guy who looked like the spiciest thing in his pantry was salt “Hey” you smiled lightly and nodded “Are you alright I heard what happened I was with Tara when I heard I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you.”
Amber rambled on about how she was sorry but all you could focus on was your shoulder and the guy standing in the corner of the room eyeing your every move “Y/N did you catch a glimpse of the dickhead that did this?” You turn towards Sam feeling a twinge of irritation before answering “he was in a ghost face mask I couldn’t see his face” you kept your response short and sweet to her not as interested in what she had to say on the matter Sam was always a problem for you being a straight A student one second then getting suspended the next wasn’t your ideal choice of fun but she always knew how to drag you into her bullshit one way or another but late night drives while getting high was always nice until they weren’t “the guy that attacked Tara was also in a ghost face mask too holy shit” Amber looked at me with a guilty expression or was it sadness you couldn’t tell “Who’s that?” You point over to the tall guy sitting on the hospital bed next to Sam “Richie he’s my boyfriend” you nodded and took the hand that Richie stuck out for you to shake “nice to meet you” he shakes your hand lightly but with a good grip you mumble a response back ‘nice to meet you too’ the handshake went on for what felt like forever until Amber cleared her throat making you let go of his hand and step back but you could still feel his eyes on you dismissing yourself taking a deep breath while walking back towards your hospital room ‘Richie…’ you thought to yourself he was kinda cute but after what happened you had no time to think about that who cares doesn’t matter if your six feet under with your throat slashed.
After the hospital patched your shoulder back up you got discharged they gave you a couple pain killers to at least help with the throbbing and sent you home in a police vehicle Judy said “it’s safer” and that “the police will keep you safe” so you did want you were told stay inside lock the doors and get some rest hopefully tomorrow we can catch the mother fucker you slowly drift off to sleep listening to the TV playing drowning out the flood of thoughts running thought your mind but there was something off you still felt like you were being watched but you decided to push back the feeling and actually get some sleep.

Horsegirl summer
(do you guys get it… like hot girl summer but horsegirl summer 🤭🤭)
Farmer Ellie x reader
After your parents pass away in a car accident you decide to use the money left in the will to move to your aunt’s farm and fix it up for her and you to live. you end up reconnecting with an old friend.
The reader's like 22, Ellie's 21, Sandra is like mid 40s.
no smut, just some kissing. a lot of it is just them crushing on each other lmaooo
Tumblr media
"Babyyy!!! How are you?!!" Your aunt smiles as you get out of your car. She's getting up out of her creaky rocking chair and running down the steps to give you a hug as soon as she sees your face.
Your parents were business partners and you grew up in a penthouse in Manhattan. You rarely got to see your aunt who lived out in Texas because of your family's busy life but the summers you spent with her were the best. Sooo once your aunt heard the news of your parents death she told you to pack your bags and sell the penthouse. "Family needs to stick together, especially in times like these." Finally after a few months, you accepted.
Her farmhouse was old, the paint was cracking and the steps on her porch looked like she had tried to fix them with a few spare nails five too many times. But you had a huge inheritance from your parents so what better to do with it than fix a farmhouse?
"Hi auntie! I'm as good as I can be. Forgot how beautiful this place was." She pulls you in for a hug and squeezes your shoulders. "Isn't it? Air quality's nine times better than that city shit you've been breathing. I bet you're already getting smarter from standing here."
You giggle and shake your head before turning back to your SUV that had been filled to the brim with clothes and appliances from your apartment. "I should probably start unloading things before the sun goes down. Don't wanna get stuck in the dark."
You aunt shakes her head and slaps your arm. "Slow down girl. You need some dinner and a nice night's sleep before trying to unload everything. Get your toothbrush and get in the house. I bet my neighbors will help you in the morning."
You turn back to her and smile, "mkay, let me just get my main suitcase so I have some pajamas."
She gives you a 'mhmm' while turning around and going back into her home. You quickly gather your phone, phone charger, and your suitcase before following her in. You're immediately hit with the smell of her famous beef stew and the sound of her laughing in the kitchen.
This is going to be wayyy different than before.
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
The next morning, you sit on your aunt's half-broken porch swing and and sip your coffee as the sunrise paints beautiful colors in the sky. You'd woken up at 5:30 this morning to try to freshen up before aunt Sandra took you around the farm to meet all the animals.
You're completely intranced by the pinks and oranges in the sky until the sound of the creaky wood porch stairs snap you back into reality, making you jump and almost spill your coffee everywhere.
When you whip your head around you swear your heart skips like 10 beats. The freckles, the short auburn hair, the green eyes that look like they'd been filled in with watercolor. No fucking way.
"Oh my god... Ellie?"
Ellie!! The little girl you'd play with during the summer's you'd visit. Your first crush, your gay awakening, someone you somehow completely forgot about when deciding to move here. She sure isn't little anymore... You take notice of the muscle in her arms and her fern tattoo.
"Shit.. Y/n? I haven't seen you in ages, what the fuck?" Ellie grins at you but you don't miss the way she licks her lips nervously. She definitely still has the same vulgar vocabulary..
"I know. Wow... You're face hasn't changed in the slightest." You giggle slightly as you get up off the swing, "can I give you a hug?"
Her eyes widen slightly but she relaxes them and nods, opening her arms so you can fit between them. Your arms lock around her neck as her's go around your waist. "How are you?" She asks once you pull back from the hug. Concern is written all over her face, she definitely knows.
You shrug and give her a dry laugh. "Best I can be doing. I decided to move in with Aunt Sandy."
Her smile reappears on her face and she puts one of her hands in her back pocket. "Are you serious? Dina's gonna be so fucking excited."
You smile at the mention of one of your other friends you'd play with at the farm. "Oh my god! What's she been up to?"
"Motherhood." Ellie holds a completely straight face and doesn't continue on or anything. You just stand there for a second and look at her and then it finally hits you. "No way!! Oh my god that's so exciting."
"Mhm, maybe we should just go see her soon." You nod and you feel butterflies in your stomach when Ellie looks at you. She said "we"!?!??!??!!??!! Her eyes are scanning your face.
After a couple seconds of silence Ellie's smile reappears and she points to your front door. "I usually just help Ms. Sandy out with some errands before starting farmwork.. sooo.. I'm gonna go.."
You shake your head and snap out of your trance. "Oh yeah! Of course..! Um, I should probably take my mug in anyway.. Aunt Sandy's in there watching the news."
🤍🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
"Holy shit.. How do you do that everyday..?" You plop down on the couch after a long day of learning all the yard work and meeting/feeding all the animals. You aunt shrugs and rolls her eyes at your theatrics.
"That wasn't even half of it. Now how 'bout you come help me cut some of the vegetables for the community potluck tonight." She waves you over as she walks out of the living room and into the kitchen. You groan and follow.
"Tonight? I just wanna go to bed.."
She clicks her tongue at you and smiles, "we all do. But I want the town to see how big my girl has gotten!" She pinches your cheek and you laugh. "Plus, Ellie will be there. She DEFINITELY likes girls."
She winks at you and you just stare in somewhat shock but mostly excitement at the new found information. Eventually your aunt puts a knife in your hand and tells you to start cutting the potatoes.
After about an hour of prep and another hour of cook time that you spent playing cards, your aunt's dish was ready and she had shooed you upstairs to get ready. What the fuck were you supposed to wear?? Maybe some jeans and a T-shirt...? Maybe one of the sundresses you had brought..?
Eventually you decide on a mid-thigh length dress. (Whatevs style you want, I'm think like a white flowy.. Maybe with some flowers.) You do some quick makeup, throw on some converse and put your lip gloss in your bag before heading back down stairs.
"Aww, baby you look so beautiful."
You smile at your aunt and thank her before giving her a quick hug, "you look beautiful aswell." She shrugs playfully and flips her hair, "what can I say?"
You giggle and get your jacket, "do you want to take my car to town?"
You aunt makes and face and sheepishly smiles at you. "I forgot to tell you.. I'm going with my girlfriends," she laughs but stops when noticing that you are not. "Buuut!! Joel's gonna give you a ride. I didn't want you going down alone without any directions."
You blink at her and jump when you hear a honk. Her face lights up, "that must be good ole' Joel now! You best be on your way."
You open your mouth to say something but close it once she's successfully pushed you out the door. You sigh and wave at the truck that's pull up in front of the house.
Ellie pops out of the passenger seat and smiles at you. "Hey! Are you excited?"
You laugh and shrug while making your way down to the beat up, rusty, blue and white, truck. "I guess.. What about you?"
"Dina makes it fun."
You nod in agreement, even though you don't really know. You just know that Dina is one of the most fun people in the world. You say hello to Joel as you get into the back seat. He gives you a small, but friendly, smile and nods his head. "How've you been?my condolences 'bout your parents. It's all that big city traffic, I'm telling ya."
Ellie shakes her head at him and clicks her tongue. You smile at him as he pulls out of your driveway and shrug. "I'm good. We were never super close and I'm happy to be living with my aunt."
He looks at you through his mirror and nods before you talk again, "what about your family?"
"Well I've been enjoying my alone time, Ellie's moved out to the garage and Sarah's got a husband and two kids."
You're eyes widen. Joel had an older daughter before he adopted Ellie and she was a little bit younger than your aunt. How had so much happen in the 7 years you weren't around?
"That's great. I'll have to tell her congratulations. Is she gonna be at the potluck?" Joel sighs and shakes his head, "she moved 'bout an hour east from here. Doesn't think weekly potlucks are worth the drive."
You nod and Ellie turns in her seat to look at you. "Dad keeps using the 'I don't have much time left' to try and get her to come visit but she never falls for it because he won't stop doing any fucking farm work."
You quietly laugh and notice how nice her hair looks half up like that..
Joel side eyes her and parks in the community center parking lot, "no more slandering me. We're here." Ellie shrugs and laughs before getting out and opening your door for you.
"M'lady." She grabs your hand and helps you get out. You take her hand and playfully bow your head, "thank you kind sir."
Joel looks at you both before turning around and shaking his head, "you guys are so weird." Ellie scoffs but smiles at you and doesn't let go of your hand until you make it into the church.
"Y/N???????!!" You see and familiar but much more mature face appear right when you walk in the door, Dina's huge smile greets you as she engulfs you in a hug. "Oh my god! I haven't seen you in forever!!"
You chuckle into her shoulder as she squeezes you, careful not to spill her drink on you. "Hi Dina!!"
She pulls away and boops your nose before giving Ellie a not-so enthusiastic hug. "After you guys say your hellos come to the dance floor!! Jesse's parents finally convinced me to leave JJ with them for the night and I need to dance with my girl." She winks at you and waves before running off to find something to entertain herself with.
Ellie scratches the back of her neck and laughs. She looks so scrumptious in the tank top and jeans she has on oh my lorddd. It's literally taking every thing in you to not stare at her chest. She doesn't have a bra on, probably because of the heat.
"I'm gonna go scope out the food.. Do you need anything?" You shake you head and give her a thumbs up.
"I guess I'll just go talk to some people I recognize. I'll find you afterwards?"
She nods and smiles at you before leaving you on your own. You wipe the sweat off your palms onto your dress and prepare yourself to talk.
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
Dina chuckles as she twirls you, making you twirl her afterwards. "Are you loving the farming lifestyle so far?" She asks you and cracks a smile when you make a face.
"I do! But the heat is unbearable. I've only been here a day and I swear I'm going to die by the end of this week."
"I feel you. You'll get used to it soon though."
Dina had finally convinced you to dance after begging a few times. You loved to dance but you needed some courage to do it here. She was over the moon about it though, claiming that Jesse and Ellie were just 'mediocre dancers.' Effectively making them both upset because they were sitting right there when she said it.
"You need to come see JJ! I'm having some friends over for board games this Friday night if your free? Ellie could give you a drive." You smile at her and nod, "sounds great. I'll have to check with my aunt but I'd love to come."
Just then, Ellie taps on Dina's shoulder and points behind her, "Jesse says he needs you."
Dina furrows her eyebrows but let's go of your shoulders and blows you a kiss before dancing towards the table Jesse was at. You look at Ellie and grin before holding out your hand, "wanna dance?" She groans playfully but gets in position anyway.
"You look really nice tonight." She talks softly in your ear as she moves her hands to hold your waist. Yours go around her shoulders and you shudder at the feeling of her breath next to your ear.
"Thank you. You look nice too.." Your throat feels dry as she sways with you.
"I missed you." Her hands are rubbing up and down your sides carefully.
"I missed you too. I wanted to visit.."
Ellie hums and pulls you closer, resting her head on your shoulder as you dance. You both stay silent for a few minutes before you giggle.
"Dina was right.. you need some practice."
Ellie's head shoots up and looks at you with a very offended look on her face. "Are you fucking kidding? I'm a great dancer."
Your smile grows and you shake your head. "I've felt you step on my foot like 5 times els." She frowns and goes back to resting her head on your shoulder, "I thought you wouldn't notice..."
"You thought I wouldn't notice you stepping on my foot?" You start to giggle again and it makes Ellie laugh too. You can feel her smile against your neck. "Shut the fuck uppp!"
You try to stop laughing but you can't, everytime you think about it you start to giggle even more. It makes ellie laugh even harder. you both look like fucking idiots.
by the time you’re both done laughing you have tears streaming down your face and ellie’s shaking her head. “oh my fucking god, we’re so stupid.” you hit her shoulder and fake scoff while wiping away your tears. “speak for yourself.. i think i’m quite a catch.”
“whatever lets you sleep at night.”
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
“hi pretty.” ellie says teasingly as she approaches you, she’s wearing a signature wife beater with some dirty jeans shorts and work boots. her hair is tucks behind her ears and she squints because the sun is so bright (but it makes her freckles pop out more!!!)
it’s been a few days since the potluck party and you and ellie have been bothering each other when working on the farms sooo much.
you jump slightly at the voice and stop from pulling the weed you had in your hands. your favorite task on the farm was the garden!!! you cover your eyes to look up at her and smile. you’re wearing a white tank top with lace and some cute short overalls. topping the outfit off with a pair of your own work boots, and gardening gloves. “hi els, what’s up?”
she looks up and points to the clouds, “the sky..”
you click your tongue and shake your head before going back to trying to DEMOLISH THIS FUCKING WEED.
ellie cackles and grabs her work gloves from her back pocket to help you weed. “are you going to dina’s tomorrow night?”
you shrug, “i think, me and aunt sandra have to be out of the house at like 4 tomorrow so some carpenters can come look at the place. are you?”
“yep. do you want a ride? one less car.. and you could always come over to my house when you need to leave. we can hang out before going to dina’s.”
you look over her and grin, feeling butterflies in your stomach. jesus christ… have you seriously not gotten over this childhood crush…
“that sounds great… also what the fuck are you doing weeding my garden? aren’t you suppose to be mowing?” ellie looks at you dumbfounded and just sits there for a second before shrugging.
“whatever. i like spending time with you… what’s this flower?” she points to a flourishing pink flower with bulbs shaped like hearts.
you him and look over before smiling, “that’s a dicentra. most commonly known as bleeding hearts. it’s my favorite.” she watches you as you studying the plant, carefully touching the flowers as if you’re transferring your energy to them. the love in your eyes matched hers. she thinks that if her heart starts to beat any fast it might explode. (i tried to make a pun about the bleeding hearts but i COULDNTTTT)
“shit.. it’s really pretty.” she says softly, still tracing the shape of your chin and bridge of your nose with her eyes as she talks. you start to ramble on about them before finally realizing that she’s studying your face. your cheeks get hot and you try not to make her gaze. “um- sorry. i didn’t mean to start talking nonsense with you.”
she shakes her head and finally snaps out of it. “i love hearing about these things. please.. tell me more about the garden.”
she swears your eyes start to actually sparkle and your smile gets huge. “oh my god! okay wait let me get you some lemonade before i get to talking about the lemon balm verses lemongrass!!”
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
you knock a few times on ellie’s door before stepping back and grabbing the basket you brought with you up off the ground. a couple seconds later you see the door swing open to reveal a very tired looking ellie. her hair messy, her cheeks flushed, a big faded band tee and some gym shorts for an outfit.
she rubs her eyes before taking in your outfit. an off-white tank top with different flowers embroidered all over it and a short jean skirt (maybe a little too short for ellie to be okay with the thought that you’d be wearing it in front of a group of people..) with your beat up converse, bag, and basket.
“fuck.. hi pretty girl. sorry i was gonna get dressed before you came but i fell asleep when i got to my room..”
you frown at her and shake your head, oh ignoring the pounding in your chest from the nickname. “are you sure you don’t want to rest? you don’t need to entertain me..”
but she wants to sooo fucking bad.
“nah, it’s good. come on in.” she smiles at your concern and leads you into her house, very similar to you and your aunt’s except no buckets around the rooms to collect the water that get through the roof and no broken staircases. a lot of extra empty beer cans scatter around though.
“i brought you guys some of the jam i made last night. there’s strawberry and raspberry. i also made some cookies for dina’s get together tonight.” you gently shake the basket and ellie’s eyes light up. “do you still shape them into hearts?” she questions while taking the basket from you and walking to the kitchen, you trail behind her like a baby duck.
your cheeks heat up and you nod your head when ellie turns back around to see you. she laughs and takes the covering off the basket before grabbing a heart shaped chocolate chip cookie and taking a huge bite. “still just as amazing as i remember.”
you smile at her and shake your head, “you dickhead!! they were suppose to be saved until we get to dina’s!!” ellie laughs even harder at your whiney tone. “don’t worry baby, i won’t eat ‘‘em all” you immediately have to stare at the ground after she says that.
having a crush on the same girl for so long must be life threatening.
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
oh my god.
ellie kissed you at dina’s house.
ELLIE FUCKING KISSED YOU AT DINA’S HOUSE.
let’s go back a week and a half, shall we?
you bounce JJ on your lap as he sleepily starts to lean in your warmth.
ellie was sitting at the other side of the room, talking to Jesse and glancing over at you and much as she possibly could without looking like a psychopath. you look so good with a kid on your hip. jesus christ if ellie had a dick-
“y/n!!! come onnn! let’s play something.. you’ve been talking to JJ all night.” dina frowns at you and rests her on your shoulder. you pat her shoulder and also frown, “can i help put jj to bed first? he’s so eepy..”
she nods and get up before helping you up. laughing as you situate the sleeping toddler in your arms. “you look like his mom.”
you smile at her teasing and shrug, “i wouldn’t mind taking care of this cutie! would i get a sexy wife out of it too?”
she playfully tucks her hair behind her ear and smiles, “of course. you could stay home and garden and hang out with jj while i worked to make my wife happy.” you laugh at her make believe world and shake your head. “sounds like the dream.”
if ellie saw anymore of the scene that was playing out infront of her there might’ve been smoke coming out of her ears. she knew it was just friendly flirting, dina friendly flirts with everybody. but she couldn’t help the fact that seeing you in the tight outfit you wore with jj and dina and-
before she knew it ellie was excusing herself from the small group she was in and was walking over to you and dina. “hey y/n, can i talk to you real quick?”
you perk your head up at her voice and turn around to look at her, “yeah sure. can i put jj to bed first? he’s clinging onto my neck so hard.”
ellie can’t lie. the sight of you with a toddler clung on your side made ellie weak in the fucking knees.. she never thought she’d have kids, but ellie would do anything if it was with you. ellie smiles and nods before pointing her thumb to the door, “meet me on the porch?”
you give her a ‘mhm!!’ before following dina up to jj’s bedroom.
after what felt like years for ellie (5 minutes… impatient ass) you were finally walking out the door and sitting next to her on a porch step. “hi, what did you wanna talk about?”
“can i kiss you?”
you just stare at her blankly for a second before opening your mouth, closing it again, and slightly nodding. she smiles and grabs your face gently with both hands before slamming her lips into yours. you squeak at the movements and immediately melt into her.
your hands go around her neck as she lightly bites your bottom lip, making your mouth fall open for her tongue to explore. she moans when you start to grasp at at hair, yanking on it. your cunt starts to ache, the feeling only egging you on more.
ellie finally pulls back and looks at you before cursing and getting up.
“ellie?” you call out as she turns to get off the porch hastily. all you hear is a ‘fuck’ before she turns back around to look at you, “i’m sorry- forget that happened i- i’m gonna leave now.. jesse can drive you home” she SPEED WALKS away before you can even get a word in.
“what the hell?”
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
so yes, it’s been a whole week and a half and you haven’t had a conversation with ellie since. it was too confusing, you liked her… you think she likes you…. you kissed…. you should be planning a date or sucking her clit or something.
but instead you were nervously hyper fixating on your garden, making sure it’s picture perfect 100% of the time.
ellie would be lying if she said she wasn’t watching as you try to tame the horse your aunt gifted you or noticing when you’d be out at 11 pm trimming your hedges. she was just too much of a coward to say anything. and you’d be lying if you said you weren’t trying to look extra enticing when picking the blackberries that grew between your house and hers or feeding the pigs.
but you couldn’t avoid this any longer. your aunt had been getting on your ass about asking joel to fix your stairs. he’d do a great job for half the money other contractors were asking for. so you straighten out your short sundress and apply some lipgloss before knocking confidently on the millers’ door.
a few seconds later joel swings the door open and nods his head in a greeting. “haven’t seen you around for a while, you and ellie have a fallin’ out?” the confidence leaves your body immediately… wow, straight to the point joel..
you shrug and tug up the smile that had faltered, “something like that… my aunt and i were wondering if your taking any new clients right now. our stairs are a death trap.”
joel chuckles and checks the smartwatch that ellie and sarah had gotten him for his birthday last year. “i could take a look at ‘em tonight, 6ish. then i can tell ya’ how much it’ll be.”
you nod and smile even wider, “thank you so much! my aunt’s making some chicken parmesan tonight if you wanna stay for dinner when you come. ellie’s more than welcome to join.” joel thinks for a second before shrugging.
“i guess not cooking dinner for once would be nice. me and ellie will be over.”
you take a triumphant breath and give joel a nod. “great! i’ll see you tonight then.” joel gives you a wave before shutting the door and you walk away with a newfound confidence.
now ellie has to talk to you!
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
“you guys should come for dinner more often! i always end up makin’ too much of this shit.” your aunt scoops some more chicken parm on ellie’s plate and smiles. “don’t be scared to take seconds!” ellie awkwardly smiles at her and thanks her before going back to quietly eating.
jesus fucking christ. she has barely said five words the whole meal and joel’s had to smack the back of her head at least 2 times so she’d be polite and answer you. you were on your last fucking straw. she was being such a little bitch about it.. why did she even run away in the first place?
after a few more minutes of silently eating and listening to joel and sandra talk about the ants this year you finally stand up, accidentally bumping into the table, making ellie’s eyes shoot up to you. you smile at her angrily, “ellie? can we talk privately?”
she starts to shake her head until joel smacks her again. she sighs and rolls her eyes before getting up. your aunt gives you a confused look but you just smile at her and grab ellie’s arm before dragging her upstairs.
once you finally make it into your room you close the door behind you and click your tongue at ellie, who looks like a guilty dog. “ellie what the fuck!? you suck the fucking soul out of my body and then leave me fucking stranded at dina’s. i had to sleepover and borrow her shit! and then you ignore me?! what is your deal?”
ellie furrows her eyebrows and just looks at her feet, “i don’t fucking know. can we just forget about it?” you scoff and sit in your bed.
“forget about it? you clearly have some sort of feelings towards me and i want to know where you stand.” ellie groans and sits next to you, a couple feet away. “y/n, i don’t want some stupid feelings to ruin our friendship.”
you look at her, dumbfounded, before speaking again. “how the hell is avoiding me like a fucking std saving our friendship? i like you ellie!! i really fucking like you. and if that ruins our friendship then i guess we can’t be fucking friends anymore.”
ellie just sits in silence.
“can you please say something??”
“how long?”
you watch as she messes with her bracelets and bites her lip anxiously.
“years. ever since you let me ride your pony and taught me how to get on her without eating shit.”
ellie looks you in the eye for the first time all night and laughs. “not without you spraining your ankle first though.”
you playfully scoff at her and throw one of your many stuffed animals at her. “shut up!! i had never even seen a pony until that summer!”
ellie catches the stuffed animal and smiles. “i’ve liked you for a long time too.”
you tilt your head and smile at her, “what made you fall for me, hmm? was it the camp leggings with the hot pink shirt?”
ellie chuckles and shakes her head, “it was when you purple nurpled that bitch that made fun of me for being adopted, at the pool.”
your smile slowly starts to grow and you laugh. “oh my god!! what the fuck happened to her? i didn’t hear her annoying laugh any of the potlucks.” ellie purse her lips together.
“she left for the city to try to make it big on broadway” she does jazz hands and plops down so she’s laying on her back. you smile and move to hover over her. “i hope she makes it big and then her costume falls apart on stage.”
ellie snorts and throws your plushie before grabbing your face in her hands, your heartbeat quickens and you move so your straddling her waist. she smiles at you and traces your cheek before whispering.
“i’m sorry i was avoiding you. i got so damn nervous because i’ve never felt this way about anyone. i swear i almost shit my pants every time i see you. you’re so pretty and kind.. you’re so sweet and.. perfect. i tried avoiding you because i know you deserve someone so much better than me.”
you shake your head and lean down to kiss her forehead. “you are the funniest, bravest, strongest, most amazing person i’ve ever met. except you get a few points docked for playing so hard to get.”
ellie laughs as you press light kisses all over her face. “i’m sorry!! what can i do to make it up to my favorite girl?”
you pretend to think for a few seconds while ellie brings your hand up to her mouth and presses kissed on your knuckles.
“hmmm…. be my girlfriend maybe- maybe give me a billion dollars-“
ellie brings one of her hands down to your thigh and gives it a gentle squeeze. “i think i’ll take the first option.” you smile down at her and feel a shiver go up your spine as her fingers trace your back, slightly pushing you down to get closer to her. she cups your cheek before bringing your lips to hers, perfectly slotting your lips together as you melt into her.
this kiss is full of so much passion, slower and calmer than the last one you shared.
you whine as she brushing her fingers against your side and then-
“y/n! can you please help put- oh.” you aunt just kind’ve stares at your position as you and ellie both look like deers in headlights. you quickly get off of her and smile at your aunt.
“yep. i’ll put the food away. i’ll even put some in a container for joel and els.” you straighten out your dress and speed walk out of the room. leaving just ellie and sandra. sorry ellie!! 🤷‍♀️
“umm… hi..” ellie waves at your aunt as she looks ellie up and down.
“mm.. i like you ellie. you’re a smart girl, and a lucky one too for getting to be with my niece. make sure you don’t fuck it up.” she smiles and makes a ‘get up and do downstairs’ motion with her hand. ellie smiles at her and stands up, “thank you, sandy. i promise i’ll be good to your niece.”
sandra smiles and nods.
now downstairs with you and joel was a little more blunt.
you scoop some food into a container for the two guest as joel comes into the kitchen to put dishes in the sink.
“she kiss you again?”
your face burns and you look over at him. he isn’t even paying you any attention, just talking while he starts to wash the dishes.
“uh- yeah. i guess we’re officially dating now..” you smile at the thought of your girlfriend and joel just makes sorta a grunting noise(?)
“finally. she kept askin’ me for advice and i was ‘bouta rip my fuckin’ ears off.”
you laugh and get some of your homemade apple hand pies for ellie and joel to take home. “well thank you. it seems like you gave her some good advice.”
joel shrugs and gives you a smile, “all i told her was that i’d be happy to have you as a daughter-in-law. you keep sending those desserts my way and i’ll keep putting in a good word.”
your jaw drops before you laugh and bag the container of food and pies, handing the bag to joel once he finishes washing the plates. “sounds like a deal.”
just then ellie and your aunt come down the stairs. you smile at your GIRLFRIENDD and she gives you a grin.
“cmon el’ we gotta get home before family feud.”
ellie gives joel a mini salute and gives you a peck on the lips before thanking your aunt and following her dad out the door.
you smile, this was your dream come true. thank god for all the summers at your aunt’s.

Tying You To Me
Pact Marks Series
Inspired by @delphi-dreamin's own pact marks series! Be sure to give hers a read as well! You can find them here. They are magnificent, please don't miss out on them.
Pairing: MC!Shae x Leviathan, a little bit of Mammon x Shae.
A/N: It's time for Levi's pact with Shae! I'm super excited about this one. I'm so sorry it took literally 10 years for this one to be finished lol But once again I used a lot of dialogue from both the game and the manga regarding the pact incantations! I hope you guys enjoy part 2 of the Tying You To Me series! Feedback and Reblogs are greatly appreciated!
Also a little guide of where Shae's Pact Marks are located.

Leviathan: The Second
Shae winced, letting out a small whimper of protest as Mammon wrapped bandages around her throbbing wrist. She had managed to sprain it in ‘Operation See Who is the Bigger TSL Fan’...except it had gone horribly wrong. It had been going rather smoothly until the end when she pulled her trump card against Leviathan, who in turn let his anger get the better of him. He had transformed to his demonic form in an envious rage and attempted to make his attack. When she’d stepped back to dodge him, she fell straight on her butt, with her left wrist catching most of the impact. She could still picture the tall form of Lucifer stepping in front of her, his large raven black wings stretched outward protectively. “Mammon you’re doing a horrible job at those bandages.” Beelzebub’s voice said, shattering the image of the eldest demon in her mind. Shae glanced down and almost snorted at Mammon’s slender fingers shakily attempting to wrap the white coverings around her wrist. “Oi, shut up both of ya!” he said, obviously flustered at the fact he was holding Shae’s hand. “Besides, I can’t believe ya got hurt that easily. And ya fell straight on your ass, what a klutz!” the white haired demon quipped. Despite the jeer, Shae could still make out the concern in his voice. “Humans really are less physically capable than demons, huh?” Beel said, shoving a slice of pizza into his mouth. “I think it’s because they don’t eat enough.” Mammon rolled his eyes, finally finishing up wrapping the bandages. “Beel, quit tying everything back to food. Why are ya even here anyways? You’ve been spendin’ an awful lot of time here in Shae’s room.” Beel hummed, swallowing the bite of food he had been chewing. “So have you, Mammon. I mean you left a phone charger here, and even your toothbrush.” Shae glanced between the two, clearly unamused by their bantering. Mammon’s face flushed. “S-So what?! It’s my job to keep an eye on them!” Beel shrugged, taking another bite of pizza. “I’m gonna go to the kitchen. I need a soda.” he said between bites. As he was about to leave, he picked up another slice that had been sitting on a plate next to Mammon. “H-Hey Beel! That’s my slice!” he protested, but Beel was already on his way out the door. Mammon sighed, taking another slice from the box on the large wooden table. “Whatever. Ya better keep an eye on yours Shae or he’ll steal it too.”
The two sat in silence for a moment on the bed, enjoying bites of their pizza. “Hey uh, there’s been something I’ve been meaning to tell ya.” Mammon said hesitantly. Shae glanced up at him, her purple gaze meeting his. “What is it, Mams?” Mammon’s heart almost skipped a beat at the nickname she’d all of a sudden started calling him recently. “Listen, the next time your life is in danger, I’m going to be the one to save you, alright? Don’t you forget that.” Shae smiled softly, “Of course, I know you would. What happened earlier wasn’t your fault, you know?” Mammon cast his gaze down to the floor. “I-I know, that damned Beel shouldn’t have spilled ice cream all over the floor for me to slip on. But still, If I can’t manage to save ya next time, then make sure you die, got it?!” he exclaimed, making Shae blink in surprise at his words. He was always saying things like that to catch her off guard. “I-I’m sorry?!” Mammon shook his head, “W-What I mean is, I don’t want anyone else comin’ to your rescue!” Shae laughed, shaking her head and leaning against Mammon’s shoulder. “Okay, Mammon. I promise.” As absurd as the request was, her heart fluttered at his strong desire to protect her. Since they had a pact now, she felt much closer to him than before. She trusted him. “Mammon, I-” she began, but was cut off at the sound of her D.D.D ringing in her uniform. “Is that your phone?” Mammon asked, taking another bite of pizza. Nodding, Shae reached for it out of her jacket pocket that was hanging on one of the chairs and saw that Levi was calling her. “It’s Levi.” she said, answering it almost immediately.
***
Shae had left hurriedly out of her room despite Mammon’s protests to keep her distance from his younger brother. Leviathan had called her, sounding a lot more calm than he was earlier that day. He had asked her to come meet him in the Planetarium, but didn’t give her any more details than that. If I run into trouble, I’ll just summon Mammon, she thought. A feeling of hope rose in her chest as she pushed open the door to the large, dome shaped room. She truly admired Leviathan, as they shared a lot in common when it came to anime and video games. Despite his sour disposition towards her, she knew deep down he was also kind and sweet and only longing for a friend. The strong desire to patch things up between them gave her the motivation she needed to push through the doors. She entered the room to see The Avatar of Envy stood in the middle, staring up at the glass ceiling which was littered with a projection of shimmering constellations. Shae cautiously took a step forward, the sound of her boot hitting the floor catching his attention. “Finally! I’ve been waiting for you to show up. You should have come right away.” he huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. He was still in his demon form, his long, scaly tail lashing back and forth behind him. “Sorry, Levi. So did you call me here to patch things up between the two of us?” Shae questioned, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. Levi scoffed, “That would imply there was anything between us to begin with….and I don’t remember you and me ever being buddies before, so don’t get the wrong idea.” Shae winced slightly at his harsh words. This might be tougher than I thought. After a few moments, Levi cleared his throat. “...Alright. Look, here’s the thing…You remember how the competition was to decide who the biggest TSL fan was, right?” Shae glanced back at him, nodding slowly. She was beginning to get irritated with his attitude “...Right. And? Your point?” Levi’s face began to flush pink as he continued. “...And I told you that if you won, I’d make a pact with you.” Shae’s heart began to flutter, a feeling of anticipation also rising in the pit of her stomach. She yearned to respond, but the words wouldn’t come. He huffed once more, his tail flicking in irritation. “That trump card you pulled was a real dirty trick…but I made a promise so...I’ll do it. I’ll make a pact with you.”
Shae tried to hide her very obvious excitement. “Thank you Levi. You have no idea how much this means to me.” He blushed, unable to maintain eye contact any longer. Shae took a deep breath and began to unbutton her uniform top. “Okay, let’s do this.” Levi jumped back, his face flushing a deep red. “W-What the hell are you doing?!” he shouted, covering his eyes. Shae rolled her eyes. “You need a place to put the mark, right? So here.” She shrugged her right shoulder out of her shirt, leaving it bare. “This might be the easiest for you.” Levi swallowed, taking a step closer to her. She nervously flipped her braids over her shoulder as she felt his stare traveling up her body. She was much shorter than him, but he couldn’t deny that the gentle curves of her hips combined with her petite frame was making him feel things he had never felt about anyone before. As he got closer, he could see the straps of her bra that dipped down below her collarbone, leaving her cleavage exposed. “Are you ready?” she asked, noticing his hesitation. He nodded, placing his hand on her bare shoulder. “I’m sure you know how painful this is right?” Shae nodded, clenching her jaw. “Yes, I do. But let’s get it over with, okay?” Levi took a couple of more deep breaths, attempting to calm himself down before proceeding. Shae waited patiently, watching his purple eyelashes flutter against his reddened cheeks. Finally, he spoke.
“O Divine Night, Black and Lightless… in the name of Envy and its amber blood, I Leviathan, Avatar of Envy, The 3rd Born out of the 7 Rulers of Hell, agree to make a pact with the human who calls herself Shaelynn…”
Shae glanced up at him as he paused, his amber eyes glazed over as he binded himself to their contract. She began to feel the familiar warmth radiating from his palm,
“I vow to lend thee my power and pledge my brief loyalty to thee.”
After the final words were spoken, the white hot sensation began to take over Shae’s body. The feeling of the pact mark branding itself into her skin caused her knees to grow weak, and she reached out to Levi for support. “Shit…!” she hissed. Levi held her steady as she squeezed her eyes shut. He could feel the tension in her body as he held his hand in place over her shoulder. “I-It’s alright, y-you’re doing great, Shae.” he murmured. Shae clenched her jaw shut, attempting to focus her attention on the sound of his voice. She knew the pact was set when the pain began to finally fade away. Her head was spinning, and she began to grow weak. “Levi… I… can we sit?” Levi attempted not to panic as he quickly guided her over to one of the nearby sofas. “T-There, just take it easy for a moment okay?” Shae nodded, taking deep breaths in through her nose. “...I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.” Levi sighed, leaning back against the couch. “I can’t believe I made a pact with a human.” Shae giggled softly, the dizzy sensation in her head finally coming to a stop. She turned her head slightly to get a glimpse of the newly formed pact mark. Since it was only just formed, it was still glowing a dull, amber color. She could almost feel the connection between her and the blushing demon sitting right beside her. “It's so pretty, isn’t it?” Levi glanced down at her still bare shoulder. He couldn’t help but feel proud of his mark of envy now etched into her skin. He carefully reached out, tracing his fingertips over the glowing symbol. Shae shivered as he touched her and subtly stole a glance up at his expression. His eyes were also glowing as he gazed at her, and in that moment Shae couldn’t help but meet her own fingers with his. He gasped softly as he felt her fingers touch his, but he allowed himself to stay put. “It…seems impossible. That someone would make a pact with me.” Levi said quietly, lifting his gaze up to meet with hers. “I mean, I'm not nearly as powerful as my older brothers…and you already have a pact with Mammon. So why me?” Shae gave him a small smile. “Because you’re you, Levi. I don’t care about how strong you are. I am just so glad that you trust me enough to agree to make a pact with me. But there is one thing….” Levi narrowed his eyes, “I knew it. Fine, what else do you want?” Shae giggled. “I want to borrow your TSL Soundtrack.” Levi groaned, “Really? All of that for my TSL Soundtrack? Fine. But you can’t get it ruined or sell it or anything, okay?” Nodding, Shae began to button up her shirt once more. “Got it. I promise.” Levi did his best not to smile, but couldn’t help himself. For some reason, he trusted her. “Alright, then let’s go to my room and I'll give it to you. But in return you have to watch the new anime I've been obsessed with recently!” Shae grinned, jumping up off the couch to follow behind. “Fine, but as long as I can watch it with you!”

you mentioned that youre in college? me too! have you ever lived in a dorm room? im going to be moving into one soon, and im looking for advice on the kinds of things to bring.
I lived in an apartment until I was around 19 or so. I've lived in 2 dorms since then (first for two months as a freshman in a small dorm and then for a year or two in a medium-sized dorm on a different floor), and they were both different but all in all pretty good!
First, let me say something that may not seem relevant but is actually pretty important to know: it's way better to bring a lot of very small items than a few large ones. Having too many large things -- for example, if you bring a book, a laptop computer, a phone, and a backpack -- will be a hassle, and you will have to put them together or fold them all at some point when you get into your room. If you bring a bunch of very small things, like notebooks and small notebooks and stuff, then putting them all together just is the work of opening them all up or folding them all flat or setting them on your desk or on your bed. It's a big difference. Also, it makes packing your room much easier.
I had a lot of small things in my dorm room. (Also, I have ADHD, and having too many large things means I have to keep things I need in my "office" and things I only need rarely are in the main room and then it's harder to get them when I'm in a rush.)
Now, what kinds of things? I actually bring a lot of stuff I need often (laptop, phone, a book or two), but it all depends on what you will be doing in your room. The one thing you have to be careful of is not packing too many things that are too heavy, because then it will be difficult to get your bed, desk, etc. balanced and in place when you're putting it all together.
To give a sense of what kind of things I might bring, here is a (not exhaustive) list of things I bring to my dorms at least sometimes:
Laptop
Computer
Phone
My textbooks and notebooks
Various toiletries
Phone charger
Bathroom stuff (toiletries, soap, a small toothbrush, etc.)
Some personal clothes -- pajamas and underwear, a shirt and shorts, a hoodie, etc.
My Kindle, for when I want to read a book at home
Some games I like
Various other "personal" items, like various music devices (iPod, phone, etc.)
If you have a good idea of what you will actually use in your room, then you can pack some of those things you'll actually use more carefully than the others. But you can't always predict that, so it's very hard to predict the weight of every item you will bring. When I've packed my room I've had to choose, based on that uncertainty, what I'd actually be using a lot in my room.
Packing more carefully than you need to means you have less weight to carry on the way out. If you're leaving your dorm on the way to school, or on the way to class, then it is usually less stressful and easier to have your book in your arms -- you can bring less weight on your back. It's an advantage to have light stuff that you can actually carry.
But it's a disadvantage to have a lot of heavier stuff that you won't use. If you pack carefully, there will be less room in your backpack for the items you're bringing.
And don't pack too much stuff. You don't want to have to carry around more things than you have to.

So i don't have a car, for starters. So i probably carry things in my backpack people often have in the boot of their car.
I carry a 32oz water bottle, an extra warm layer like a sweater or long sleeve shirt, an emergency umbrella, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, sunscreen, eczema lotion, pads and tampons. A spare pair of underwear. A book for reading. A charger for my phone. Spare headphones. A notebook. If I'm wearing a binder i keep a sportsbra to change into if the need arises. A small bottle of Ibuprofen. A small bottle of antacid pills. A small bottle of milk digestion pills. A pill container with prescription meds. A few teabags. An energy bar. A reusable shopping bag.
But that's just on my daily commute to work. If I'm going out on the weekend I'll travel light, with just wallet phone chapstick and keys in my pockets. Maybe the reusable shopping bag stuffed into a pocket too.
@ people who carry bags everywhere what do you put in them what is there to bring other than chapstick, keys, phone and maybe a tampon why are you packing a suitcase to be outside for 5 hours
